The General Ross County Chat Thread

Recommended Posts

I don't care what anyone says he's done well for Ross County, has a wealth of knowledge regarding players and who to bring in and how to manage them, I think he just got stale, but I want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for what he's done for my club. they have always performed way above what one could expect from such a small club.

An absolutely staggering take.

I was reading that on the new page and wondered if you had changed your tune.

We all know that the BBC's HYS comment section is polluted by the smooth brained racists and bigots, but it's also interesting to see it in practice...

Remember, it's ok to be a racist, because other racists see no problem with racism because even if you aren't a racist in public, you must be one in private.

Was going to say, those replies, and all the likes, is pretty revealing about themselves.

The Facebook page is utterly deranged. "How can you expect better on such a low budget?" What planet are these people living on?

I want to think Facebook is mainly people who don’t know enough about football to find themselves here, but I actually think it’s where people who are too thick to find themselves here go to talk football. I’m pretty sure it’s only a matter of hours before somebody suggests Frank Lampard or Craig Gordon as manager.

It's the usual nonsense from people too scared to admit they are perfectly fine with what he said

The same people who suddenly become experts in civil courts every time Goodwillie tries to claw his way out of the gutter." Nobody complained when he signed for Clyde!!!"

It'll be nice to have the option to start going to games again. That said, now that I've put more time/money into other hobbies/interests, I can't see myself getting to as many games as I used to.

I’ll go back.

I would, however, like somebody to tell me at what point Ferguson is going to be held accountable.

I'm still not sure what he actually does? Which tells its story I guess.

Isn't he just the PR/photo guy?  If County are in the press for anything MacGregor sends him?  Basically your Scot Gardiner, minus the pissing off loads of local businesses.

For all Ferguson might have faults as a CEO, the appointment of Mackay is entirely on MacGregor.

Weren't you once given a warning for not wanting Chris Wilder in Scotland as he "looks gammon" and doesn't hold "Scottish Values"?

I could swear it was you who typed it.

I think he’s more our John Robertson - the more-eloquent-than-average-media-savvy guy who can use banter to get the media onside.

Damning by assumption, an interesting technique.

No, there was no warning, but yes, I have commented on Wilder's personal view on things. I fail to see an issue here.

He strikes me as the type of bloke who would use LinkedIn to tell the world he doesn't see his family because he is so committed to his job (whatever it might be).
