Celtic with quite a few injuries leading up to this one.

Starfelt, Maeda, GG and Haksabanovic I think, are the main doubts.

Regardless, Celtic have enough players in the squad to field two teams and finish 1st and 2nd in the SPL,  so no worries about whoever plays.

Might be worth resting Calmac for Tuesday, playing 3 international games, our squad is big enough and he wont get rested for the away game at Killie. We need him full of energy for the 2 euro games.

Just hoping we don't get battered. I'm hoping Slattery is back so our midfield is a bit more solid and we don't have play Maguire.

You’ve also had your manager doing a promotional tour for the friendly tournament on Australian TV and Radio chat show circuit so not with the players who weren’t on international duty to prepare them for this game.

Over confidence or ultra confidence ? Time will tell.

I would start with Moult, give him a run out for 60 minutes then bring KVV on to help recover things, or push for a winner, or get sent off.

I don’t think it’s a case of any type of confidence just obligations we have to meet to promote the friendly. The majority of our squad would be away on international duty anyway. I do think flying round the world for a friendly during the season is a bit ridiculous though.

 

Anyway looks like we will have Welsh and Jenz at cb which due to injuries. No Maeda and GG either, think Haksabanovic is out also. Still confident enough but think we will concede at some point.
