Lyle Lanley
Hopefully it’s not the last time we see Gordon playing. Great keeper.

He's not only endangered the other player he's literally broke his leg going into the challenge because it was wild and reckless, the very definition of dangerous play. Junior_Arab
At the risk of going on about something that turned out to be far from the most important outcome of the challenge, I fully expect a few fans to say “But he got the ball, so it’s ok” without really having a clue about the rules but for the var team and the ref to watch that back and decide it’s a fair challenge is mind boggling. These are the same refs who send guys off for tackles half that wild without getting within 3 yds of their opponent.

Shankland Given the trouble we're in at the foot of the table we had to see the win out there. Stipid from the Utd defender to give the ref a decision to make. Ref was about the worst I’ve seen in a while -
No_Problemo
That’s an absolute stick on red card and penalty. Hopefully Gordon recovers quickly, horrific for him after everything he has been through in his career. Would hate injury to take away the end of his career too.

Lofarl
That will be him finished sadly. Can’t see how he’d recover from that at his age.

What! Keeper gets to the ball, then gets taken out? Educate me in where there something wrong in CG winning the ball then getting smashed? -

You're always risking punishment if you put your hands on an opposition player, but the actual contact was minimal and nowhere near enough to justify Shankland throwing himself to the deck the way he did. I've seen a few god awful refereeing performances this season already, but today was definitely right up there.

This is so wrong. It doesn’t matter if you touch the ball first if you are endangering an opponent while doing so.
woolf
Been a brutal couple of games at Utd for Hearts this season, hopefully they get relegated. Will be a blessing. -

Because the Dundee Utd player was simply running, whereas Gordon jumped off the ground with both feet and smashed into him with his knees raised around chest height. Absolutely dangerous play.

stressball
Just seen the picture of the incident and absolutely heart broken for Craig Gordon. Very likely a shite end to a great career.

Wee-Bey
That's horrific. He's been a great player for club (unfortunately) and country. Looks almost certainly to be a career ender. Hopefully it heals OK and doesn't affect him long term.
SweeperDee
Career ender and potential life changer for him there. Horrible.

Wee-Bey
It's also clearly a penalty and possibly a red card btw. Incredible that people are arguing otherwise.
Alert Mongoose
Sickener for Gordon there. Hopefully makes a full recovery and back playing soon. Thought a draw was a fair result but the ref has to admit he has had a shocker all round.
