Ross.
39 minutes ago, ScotiaNostra said: I think theres a good reason that every country in europe has a national broadcaster. The BBC clearly has lost its way but to get rid of it seems a bit over the top. It just needs better management and ways of working for the modern age. The BBC didn’t lose its way, it was derailed by decades of politicking and propaganda from people who wanted to either privatize it or remove it as a competitor. To me, this looks like it’s getting towards the end of that journey. You only need to look at the amount of people saying that the content is shite and it’s not worth the license fee, of course it’s not, it has been getting ripped apart from the inside for years. A bit like the NHS and every other publicly owned entity in the UK, succesive governments, both red and blue, have done their best to ruin it for private gain.

Sharp and Davie are part of a frog boiling strategy where we're starting to see wee bubbles in the pot. People are now seeing the BBC as a corrupt propaganda machine and this farce will shift the lens to identity politics, dividing the nation further. It's clever opportunism actually.
Mark Connolly
Fighting Talk seems to have been pulled from 5Live at the last minute as well - wonder if Colin Murray has told them to shove it as well. Alert Mongoose
The Tories scrambling to distance themselves from the top echelons of the BBC (having spent too long infiltrating it) will be entertaining to watch. Finally some good news out of this shambles* *on the assumption it's presented by the sumptuous Christina. It’s a horrible far right outlet that has employed Katie Hopkins and Nigel Farage and said stuff like this: Here’s James interviewing the devil himself Compare the way he talks to Tony Blair to the way he talks to people who phone his radio show. Many of them are working class people who’s communities have been destroyed by those like James O’Brien, who was privately educated. He probably even met some of those responsible for austerity and the 2008 financial crisis whilst studying at LSE. Drooper
Can't help but fear that the team will struggle to bring new life to the obsolete, tarnished, and broken heap of debris that is presented to it on this occasion....
