Necro bumping a 2 month old thread. Likes to reanimate things I guess. Like sevco.
alta-pete
Looks like somebody's needing their NKC. I saw an article about spicy food, I've contributed to this thread previously, I thought it relevant (some may of course disagree as is their right) and I posted it. Run me through the jist of your objection @Venti?

Derek Patterson
At a gig in Glasgow tonight and anticipating a wee detour by Lupe Pintos. Mate at work is wanting some mad noodles and I'm after a bottle of the Carolina Reaper ketchup.
milton75
I'm a big fan of hot noodles, but I also like the noodles to be full of stinky flavour. Spicy chicken and beef ones are both good, but my favourites are the prawn / lobster / seafood ones, as they tend to have a good kick of boiled up fish bits. If they have crustaceans up there as the main ingredient on the soup sachet you know they'll be pleasingly fishy. I like these ones at the moment: The only downside is that often they claim to be hot but are only a bit spicy, so I've found the best thing to do is augment them with a big spoon of these sorts of things: Chuck in some green veg and you get a nice bowl of fire shellfish soup. It makes my hair sweat and gets rid of any diseases you might have.
Soapy FFC
If you like olives then you'll love these. A nice kick, and lovely when sliced in a cheese toastie.

Knew about it but forgot when I was in. Didn't have any of what I was after but got a nice wee haul of stuff anyway.
milton75
Bit of an issue today. May as well share with this support group or whatever it is. Currently suffering a bout of the Covid. Just been sleeping a lot and coughing/sneezing up horrible things. When not doing that I've been craving spicy food, as my senses of taste and smell are all but gone entirely. Went to town on some noodles this morning. Just a load of additional chilli - freshly chopped and some heaped spoons of a jar of dried chilli with dried whole shrimp in it (I thought it looked cool in the shop). Ate the food and felt pretty sad about the lack of flavour. Mid-afternoon I started experiencing some odd cramps in the lower gut. Went for an emergency sit down in the toilet and it turns out that my poor tattered anus had not lost its sense of taste. A terrible experience. Would try again, obvs.

Was in a few weeks ago, got this stuff. 1.5 million SHUs.As you can see, it's been used sparingly.
