Raith Against The Machine
Scott McGill the Rovers man of the match, for me, even without giving him extra credit for playing out of position. Demerits for Liam Dick, who really must be improved upon in the summer, and Connor McBride, who's as much a Championship footballer as I am.
TxRover
Should have lost on that last shot…looking like Airdrie or Falkirk will probably hammer the Accies and come up. Interesting next year.

Hopefully one of the first things Murray and our new investors do is sit down with Scott McGill and offer him a deal for next season. A guy that can play competently at right-back, left-back and through the midfield is going to be invaluable in a small squad.

Harsh on McBride, who played about 10 mins, yet you let Akio away without comment. He couldn't even find the way to the bench when we were finally relieved of him, taking the extra long way around the pitch. Agree with someone else who said keep McGill.

Yeah, felt harsh on McBride who tried to offer an outfall. Not that I would be in a rush to keep him. Akio was awful again. Had a number of decent chances in the second half there, was largely a game of kick and rush with little composure. Leaning towards seeing if we could keep McGill but otherwise we need a huge revamp in defence and up top, not that we didn't know that already. Was largely a carbon copy of the last game against Arbroath at Starks.

lichtie23
Rovers fans. How good was Gaston’s save after he fumbled the cross? Looked incredible from our end
ellichtie
Take a point in the circumstances. Looked like we still had the Caley game in our system first half. Balde had a blinder when he came on and Gaston at it again. Win next week should do us.

Particularly for a man who plays in a strip that always looks one size too small.

Hammer throwing that's admirable in its purity. I didnt get to see the game, but this post pleases me deeply.

basher brash
Spurned some good chances 2nd half and a great save by Gaston but our defending of set pieces is atrocious another carbon copy of the 2 we conceded to Hamilton from the exact same position , We just can’t defend or score when in a winnable position

roverthemoon
Wasn’t there so no idea how the game went. Reading this, conceding from a set piece right after half time seems peak Raith Rovers this season. Hopefully Arbroath stay up. Decent club, good away trip. Looked incredible from our end Worldie, unfortunately the RaithTV behind the goal camera has a limited buffer period, so it likely won’t be on the highlights later. However, he somehow got a left hand up and deflected the shot, the commentary was raving about it, and they were nearly directly behind the shooter. In response, how on earth did the last shot manage to be taken right at MacDonald with all the rest of the goal open for the taking?

You'll know better than me, but from what I've seen of Gaston over the years that little passage of play seems to sum him up perfectly.
timlichtie
On the substitutions, I’m delighted to say that Scott Allan looked like the quality player we though we’d signed. Olusanya also looked decent and caused a few problems for Raith. Balde was a massive improvement on Tait and must start against Cove.
