Great game management from Hearts. Would love to see the ball in play time from when Hearts scored to full time. There was 45 minutes play from that time. I'd have said the ball was in play for 15-20 of those.

They missed about 3 sitters in that time. I don’t think there’s anything to be salty about here.

No complaints about the result, better team on the day won. For the second week in a row, we were second best, but just couldn't get away with it this week.

Agree with others about the lack of depth in our squad. You take arguably our two most influential players - Duk and Shinnie - out of the team, along with another important one in McCrorie, and the drop off is significant.

Wednesday is huge for us now. At least Shinnie will be back - we have missed him massively.

Not being salty at all, I would've expected the same from us if we were ahead, Was actually surprised there was as many as 8 minutes stoppage time. Agree with everything being said about squad depth and the lack of it biting us. Morris was fucking woeful, I actually thought Richardson did ok. We are really going to miss Clarkson.

On to wednesday then. Hopefully a decent crowd and get the job done.

Have to pull you up on that one. McCrorie is every bit as important to how we play as Duk and Shinnie are. Folk who under value him absolutely show themselves up. He would be a first pick in every team in the league bar the old firm and Rangers.

We had 3 first pick players missing, and it absolutely showed. We need to win on Wednesday...no excuses.

We need a top performance from Shinnie on Wednesday. Hopefully he’ll be fired up (not to the extent where he receives his third yellow card of this two month spell/his whole career). He’s the one capable of lifting to whole team and taking the game by the scruff of the neck.

He is good and definitely in our best eleven, but I'm not sure a player whose position we have had to move about four times this season alone to try and limit his shortcomings is on the same level as the other two.

Best team won,absolutely no doubt.

Work in progress (fkn again) but we look decent.Standard ref was shocking as well - for both teams

For one more than the other.

Watkins should’ve had a pen.
That’s a foul anywhere else.

Clancy (predictably) shat it.

As did VAR

Considering we were missing our captain, McCrorie and Duk I thought we played well. Watkins played really well for us.

It took a wonder strike on the stroke of half time and a defence error (not getting the line right) that beat us today.

Robson changed half the team (he took MacDonald off) around the 60 minute mark. He clearly had one eye on the St Mirren match on Wednesday. Duk, McCrorie and Shinnie will be back for that one.

Everyone (Aberdeen fans) are emotional right now and will say Richardson, Barron and Morris are mince etc but they did fine today and the team played well considering.

I didn't expect us to win which is why the 5 point gap was so important for us going into todays match. We got thumped 5-0 last time at Tynecastle so it was a marked improvement.

We win on Wednesday and the chase for third is over.

Everyone seems to forget we finished third bottom last season and had a massive overhaul of players last summer. All things considered, to be one win away against St Mirren at home it's an incredible turn around.
