What round do we go in if SuperCaleygoballistic in the cup final?

We’d have to negotiate QR3 and a playoff in the conference

If Sellick win the cup and we end up we end up in the Conference as expected this is what the pots look like at the moment

That’s a good projection to get an idea of the competition but Aberdeen will likely be in Pot 3 for the Conference League groups.

We need 8 association trained players in our squad for Europe. Going to be interesting to see how we achieve that.

I'd imagine that Devlin won't be the only Scottish player we sign.

We need 8 association trained players including at least 4 club trained players in our 25 man squad. Players under 21 aren’t included in the squad and we can use any number of them.

These players must have played with ourselves or another Scottish club between 15-21.

Of our currently (or future) contracted players/loanees, that leaves us:

McCrorie

McKenzie

Shinnie

Kennedy

Barron

Devlin

Campbell

McLennan

It’s obviously pretty unlikely that all of them will be here next season.

I believe we can also use under 21s who meet the criteria (Barron, Duncan, Ngwenya, Milne) although that eats into space in the 25 man squad.

Anyway, a few more Scottish signings could be on the horizon.

Don't really need to have 4 club / 8 national homegrown players. They only begin to count after the first 17 players in the squad.

I.e. Unless they have a squad of 25 over 21 year olds, they can always leave spaces in the squad to count as a homegrown spot.

I can't imagine the squad is going to grow that much over the next few months. At the moment they'd struggle to meet the minimum player requirement.

What are you on about?

Aberdeen have one of the best Academies in the country

We’ve made millions in the last few years developing young Scottish players and selling them on

If kids are good enough at Aberdeen, they’ll get a game

And yet your own fans fear you won't meet the criteria

Scott McKenna, Ryan Fraser, Lewis Ferguson, Kenny McLean, Calvin Ramsay, Ryan Christie, Ryan Jack, Lawrence Shankland, Graeme Shinnie. All Scotland internationals who have been developed by Aberdeen in some capacity. Outside of Celtic, no one else can produce a list like that.

Just glad to be back here after last season’s hiatus.

The fact that our 7th best points haul in the past decade has somehow yielded eight guaranteed European games - wow, just wow.

I think we merit a go at this for a decade of relative credibility on the continental stage - embrace the new format and give it a serious go AFC….

An entire Aberdeen homegrown XI would easily qualify for Europe. Not bad for refusing to develop any players
