Delighted to see them fail. The men's team, with the likes of Pickford and their 'island race' coach (who apparently is LIKEABLE!!!), and collapsable-legs Kane (LIKEABLE!!!) get the same treatment from a country that is essentially uncomfortable with its image of itself and is trying to kid itself (and the rest of the world) into thinking it is LIKEABLE!!! The national insecurity around race, nationalism, and gender issues are there for all to see in how the national teams are reported and viewed by the general public in England. England did it worse in their European championship final against Germany. I was at that game (bought tickets & booked a trip well in advance in the hope the Dutch would make it but thinking a final as a neutral is always good).
