eez-eh
I see that 80% Saudi owned Newcastle are set to be sponsored by 100% Saudi owned Saudia Airlines. Not the first club to pull this stunt, but it’s always a good laugh to see it happening. What a world.
Jim McLean's Ghost
Neville is right that a minority investment is clearly the wrong path and is just more Glazers bullshit and siphoning money out the club. The minority investment is money going into the Glazers pocket for no control over the club as a whole. Which means the people giving the money are not doing it to have a play thing but purely as a capitalist endeavour to extract as much return on their investment as possible. As long as the Glazers remain there is no real possibility of Man Utd turning it around and getting back to seriously competing for the title and champions league. Th whole ethos of Man Utd right now is paying off intesting and paing out dividends.

Miguel Sanchez
What difference do Gary Neville's non-negotiables make to anything? I can say it's non-negotiable that I get made Pope, it's as likely to happen and what I say is about as relevant.

And that is just dividends. Nearly $1b has been paid out in bank interest over the Glazer period just in servicing the interest. So $1.2B at least paid out supportign the owners of the club while the debt continues to grow.

They can take it For comparison They've spent $160M on the services of Harry Maguire Nonetheless all that debt taken on when money was cheap must be stinging a little in the new era of higher interest rates Edited October 17, 2023 by topcat(The most tip top)

Musketeer Gripweed
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/18/world/europe/everton-sale-777-partners.html Grim reading for Everton. Didn't realise they were in so much trouble. I suspect the fact the new stadium has been put forward for the Euro 2028 tournament will at least mean it will get finished. Feck knows how they will finance it though if this takeover falls through.
