Hauftimedraw Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 (edited) We go into this game desperately needing a win to avoid potentially going bottom. Would love to see a repeat of the boxing day scoreline from 2021. 5-1 in case it had slipped your mind. Stand out moment in that game was the bizarre sending off of Jordan Forster. Ref had blew for half time when the big fella started mouthing off to the home support after being accused of being follicly challenged. Oh how we laughed! Not expecting the same score and to be honest, would settle for a scrappy 1-0 in the 90 +10 minute! Mon the Annan! Ca plane pour moi! leomessi1984 Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 That was a mad game when we were on our way to the L2 title. Forster, as is now clearly known, was a headcase! Fancy us for a 2.1 win but expecting a tough game. 0 Quote
Kelheart Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Should've had the game at Kelty all done n dusted by halftime but didn't , Annan much better second half and got a deserved late equaliser, close one to call but if we perform like we can should hopefully get a narrow victory ,barring Falkirk and Hamilton there is absolutely nowt between any of the teams in this league and every point is a prisoner 1 Quote
leomessi1984 Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Entertaining game. We dominated possession but Annan always looked dangerous going long to Goss all the time. He's a handful for sure! Bavidge & O'Donnell were very good again. Felt we should have won on the balance of play & chances but Annan will feel the draw was fair too probably. Gourlay again with question marks for the 2nd Annan goal. 1 Quote
the philosopher Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 I think a draw was fair enough. You guys could have been 2 or 3 nil up at half time. But hi did the winger Michael Garrity no torture you boys - great goal & wi a bit of luck could have been more. As someone earlier posted take out Falkirk & Hamilton nothing between the rest, fine margins take your chances or you are doomed. 1 Quote

Was baffled when Garrity was substituted as he was a live wire all game. I think Annan are a bit better than Edinburgh from our games against them. One of the longest runs of corners in a row I've seen ever for Kelty in the second half too, must have been about 7 on the trot Edited November 5, 2023 by leomessi1984 0 Quote
Hauftimedraw Posted November 5, 2023 Author Posted November 5, 2023 Gutted to have not held on for the win yesterday but in all fairness Kelty were worth at least a draw. Agree with previous two posters that Garritty was electric yesterday and tormented the Kelty defence all game long. Baffled to see him subbed and for me was only contender for man of the match. 2 hours ago, leomessi1984 said: One of the longest runs of corners in a row I've seen ever for Kelty in the second half too, must have been about 7 on the trot Yeah, corner count was embarrassing. Have noticed all season that Annan are packing the box when opposition get corner and leaving no one up front . End result has no out ball so we are relying on Fleming saving the day or ball going out of play. Frustrating!! Thought Reece Lyon showed respect by not celebrating his goal. He was class for us last year and would have him back in a shot. 1 Quote

Still quite young & hope we can keep him for a couple of seasons. 0 Quote
