No home game until March

Irvine Meadow have a run of 9 scheduled away fixtures with no home games until 16th March. Surely that isn't right? The Rob Roy away game on 20th January surely be common sense to have it at Meadow Park for example as far better chance of being on than at Cumbernauld in January. Hopefully home games to be added in as 3 months and no income is hardly sustainable for any football club....!

I appreciate it's really hard and thankless task doing the fixtures but teams shouldn't have more than 3 scheduled away league games in a row. I appreciate can't always be the case with Cup ties and postponements but no home games until potentially 16th March is ridiculous.

How many home games have you played in the league so far? Sure it will be a lot more than Beith at only 4 played due to weather losing one and cup games losing a few more

We have played 7 home games and 7 away games in league so far so largely fine so far. Odd run of 3 home / 3 away games which is understandable but then look at fixtures and now a run of 8 away league games in a row doesn't seem right...?

It's ridiculous unless there's a wee glitch. We have no game at all for almost a month ( 3/2 to 2/3 )

Thought yous might have played a lot more than that No it does not seem right at all Meadow need to get a couple of good players in to have a chance of staying up Chances of that happening with that run of games and no gate money coming in are not good at all

It's came about through a set of circumstances involving postponements which are either weather related or cup related. Some games were put in place rather than have the team without a game where an opponent is available. It became evident after these fixtures were listed. Consideration also had to be given where the opponents are groundsharing. It's easy to say - "Just swap the Rob Roy fixture to Meadow at home." It doesn't just alter that fixture. It alters the reversed fixture back to Guys Meadow where Cumbernauld are already playing. Switching the Largs game just moves the problem onto Largs and they would end up with a run of away games. It is going to involve juggling of some other fixtures to bring about some sort of balance.

I am aware of the situation and have been in touch with Irvine Meadow to inform them that I will look into resolving it.

Thanks for the response. Good you are looking at resolving it as 3 months with no home game will be really tough for Meadow at already very hard time for the club on the pitch with fans drifting away as it is without no home games for 3 months.

It is an unfortunate side to having a full fixture list that can be disrupted by postponements.

Especially if the home games are the ones that have to get changed leaving the away games intact.

The clamour for a season long fixture list by some who thought they knew better was farcical.

I fully expect that if they beat Craigmark in the West of Scotland League Cup that they will get an away draw for the next round on 24th February to add to the problem.
