wingnut Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Let’s hope we can get back on track the morra,no point rabbiting about Rangers game, got to beat Livi and Dundee before that 0 Quote
deadasdillinger Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Staring down the barrel of a terrible run of form, some real fan unrest, a manager who's looking like a prime candidate to be the next one sacked, a team of absolute diddies who couldn't score in a brothel thanks to the manager's terrible negative tactics. A look at the fixture list, hoping for an easy one to get 3 points on the board, and who have the poor fuckers got next?!?! Livingston. 4 Quote
LiviLion Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Very worried about the possibility of this hitting double figures; my only hope is that Martindale pulls out an extraordinary performance in bus parking and Celtic struggle to break us down. Said as much in another thread, but Celtic being in a shambles (i.e. 1 or 2 subpar performances) doesn't stop the fact that we are very rotten at the moment. If I'm trying to be positive, our last couple of performances have been a bit better, but even then it took us a silly amount of time to get a goal from open play (a very scabby one at that) in a game we still went on to lose. 10 men behind the ball and Guthrie sitting at the halfway line to win flick ons (that just go to the Celtic keeper) 0 Quote

gannonball Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Hopefully Maeda gets some more game time for this. As frustrating as he is technically we have absolutely missed his intensity. Speaking of intensity I see the GB are now back for this one which is another thing I think we have missed, the crowd has generally been as flat as the team. 0 Quote

Has there been any concessions or breakthrough made between the GB and the club? Or are the club just looking at the last couple of results and fan reaction thinking, we need to do something here. I don't think the club have made a statement yet on it and the GB usually don't say much ever about this stuff so who knows. I'm still very sceptical as to why they were banned in the first place the timing still seems very suspect. The board won't admit it but anyone that goes to the home games will have picked up on the lack of atmosphere without them, it's been more telling late on when we need a result and the crowd is still pretty flat. They obviously aren't the main reason why we have been shite though. 0 Quote
kingjoey Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 According to the club, or someone at the club, the atmosphere at Celtic hasn’t been the same in the last few weeks because the Green Brigade, all 267 of them, have been banned. Thankfully for the players the 267, that’s 267, will be allowed back from tomorrow. 0 Quote

The 267 will obviously enable the ira karaoke to be heard better and will inspire the players from far and wide to greater things. 0 Quote

As well as UEFA pressuring the club due to complaints UEFA were receiving from their sponsors. Now that the club is out of Europe, the timing fits. 0 Quote

They have done not much different of late to any other time really so it has far been too suspect. 1 hour ago, kingjoey said: What power do 267 people out of a crowd of 45/50,000 have over the rest? DavieCFC Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 Badly need an early goal tomorrow. If it's looking like it going to be 0-0 going into HT again people are going to get restless pretty quickly. There's rumblings Hatate could be on the bench tomorrow which would be huge 0 Quote
gannonball Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 I was nervous about this one but with Livingston playing midweek, Maeda back and a bit more of an atmosphere now will mean the intensity will favour us. I usually say any win will do but I think a healthy win is much needed. 0 Quote

Greenlantern Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 Looking for a response from the players, atmosphere or none they need to move the ball faster and show more urgency. This could be a big day for Kyogo to get back on the scoring trail. 0 Quote

LiviLion Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 The ignorance on display from the Celtic TV roasters is almost unbelievable. It's one thing referring to Parkes as our captain when Holt is wearing the armband (no idea why that one's difficult), but much worse than that the clown has referred to Obileye as Ambrose. 0 Quote
