RuMoore
If this is the safe space I hope it is then I want to say I've watched Taskmaster a few times after heavy recommendations and each time it's been pretty shite. I wish I liked it but it seemed to encapsulate all the things I dislike about TV show comedy. Edited January 11 by RuMoore

I’m keeping them quiet though cos I don’t want to give ideas. One is niche, the other is surprising Bob Monkhouse for the niche ?

Always seemed to say more about the stupidity of the audience than the quality of the acts in my opinion. Presumably Des O'Connor, Mike & Bernie Winters et al were still paid whereas the 'smartarse' heckling in the dark had paid money to watch someone he had no interest in. "Why do that Glasgow ?", as any comedian worth their salt might have said. I would imagine back in those days the heckler might not have known about the act beforehand and so would not know whether he would be interested.

Ditto the Two Ronnies (pretty much most acts from that time tbh) I took a look at the TV schedule for Christmas Day over the holidays, as it's become an annual event now rather than the weekly one it was forty years ago. It was pretty obvious from the fayre available that the only people still watching the terrestrial channels live are Boomers and the young children who curl up with them after they fall asleep during yet another misty-eyed viewing of They Flew to Bruges.

It was fine but that was it and I wasn’t arsed about watching any more.

Normally takes a few episodes for relationships to form and for you to see what’s what. Mindless, enjoyable fun.
