Most frequent transfer

Comment on our signing of Alex Samuel on loan from County got me thinking - what is the most common transfer between Scottish clubs?

I would include players going on a free at the end of their contract.

From looking at Wikipedia, the following players have gone directly from Caley to County or vice Versa.

Andy Barrowman

Graham Bayne

Joe Chalmers

Don Cowie

Coll Donaldson

Ross Draper

Russell Duncan

Les Fridge

Stuart Golabek (went from County to is, back to County then back to us)

Richard Hastings (came back to us after)

Steve Hislop

Roy McBain

Billy McKay (went from us to county and is now back)

Gary McSwegan

Alan Morgan

Grant Munro

John Rankin

Ross Tokely

Carl Tremarco

Iain Vigurs (twice left us for County)

Nicky Walker

Steven Watt (unsure he ever played for us but he was on our books)

Gardyne too

It’s probably a common one due to the geography and players getting settled in the highlands with the only other options (without a stinker of a commute) being part time football at Elgin or the highland league
