The Doric hordes descend on the Athens of the north

The  16 point gap  is mitigated by Aberdeen having three games in hand but their fixture list in February is tough and if they’re going to  catch up they’ll need more than a point at Tynecastle

Hearts have looked a bit shaky in the two outings since the break and Aberdeen appear to have got their a point at St Johnstone thanks to some very fortunate VAR calls so both sides are more than capable of fucking this up

but it’s Hearts vs Aberdeen at Tynecastle so I reckon we’ll be fine

More importantly this will be the first match after Dry January so regardless of the result I’m looking forward to it

First trip to Tynecastle for a good few weeks for me. Can't wait.

Looking forward to the game, but no idea what to expect. One of these days where there isn't an outcome that would surprise me.

Apart from a 10-10 draw. That probably would.

It’s a home win, of course it’s a home win. The scary part, for me, is that I cannot bring myself to be bothered.
Our games in hand will equate to zero points, and no one at the club will care, so why should I ??

Im just struggling with the end of Traitors to be honest.

Strange times.

Obviously Dry Most Of January, not Dry January.

I prefer a Dry December and to party hard in January.

With regards the result, it's difficult to see anything other than a comfortable home victory so 1-1.

Did you just impose your view of its identity on Jan 27th? Reported for hate crime.

Jan 27th identifies as February. Enjoy, everyone.

Not expecting anything but much stranger things have happened than Aberdeen beating hearts.

If there is to be any hint of a push for 3rd that’s probably necessary but that in itself would not be enough to give me any belief. There is zero indication that we are going to go on any sort of run of looking competent week to week, never mind amassing points to go with it. It’s a bit embarrassing that this hearts team are likely to finish 3rd with little to no resistance.

Wonder if there will be be 8k empty home seats like there were on Tuesday.

Don't want to make things too familiar for you.

Home wins have kept happening even against pre-match logic. So there is that going for us. That said we've started our last two home matches really poorly and Aberdeen's quick fire counter attacks could do some damage. I also don't think they'd be as like likely to chuck a 2-0 goal lead unless we're wearing black and white shirts and it's a Thursday night.

Was this a quip that we’d be more likely to chuck a lead against the Greek league leaders than hearts, who they scudded twice?

Put it into a song and see if it sticks. 🤷

It didn’t feel like as many as 8k, I assume you’re just exaggerating for rhetorical effect

anyway it’s a home sellout, the weather forecast is relatively good, it’s Saturday 3pm and Aberdeen are more box office than Dundee so it should be pretty close to capacity
