fifer67 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Pretty pleased with that result today at a difficult Stair Park. That’s 5 games without defeat and since our pumping from Bonnyrigg on the Friday before Xmas we have been digging in and fighting for the cause. The games keep coming thick and fast and onto Spartans at Bayview on Tuesday . Makes a difference to players confidence when you can string a few results together so long May it continue. 0 Quote
Blue1870 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 We were rotten. Poor game. Deserved win for East Fife. Huge miss by Tam Orr start of 2nd half. Clean through and puts it wide. 0 Quote
Cosmic Joe Posted January 27 Posted January 27 It wasn't pretty at times, but when we successfully defended about six corners towards the end of the first half I thought we could win it. The second half was more open. Not a classic game, but one that needed to be ground out. Loads of candidates for motm, but Liam Newton seems to be progressing week on week. Just happy to be coming back up the road with three points. -2 Quote

Great highlights & commentary package as ever from the blues. 3 Quote
Blue1870 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 (edited) Yes Austin is way above our level in my opinion. His movement has always been good. A real pest as well. George did well to get any highlights out of it. I didn't contribute with gopros etc. Oncall. However wouldn't have had much to add to the highlights. Complete meltdown on our Facebook pages. After signs of improvement lately this was a scary performance by Stranraer. Ragged and open to counter attacks. I thought at the time the lob was the easier finish than the outside of the boot. Fash is really coming onto a game. He is now fully fit, so we are getting 90 minutes out of him. I thought Chris Johnston was a great signing for you, but he looked a bit off the pace yesterday. Perhaps I am being a bit unkind to our midfield, who kept him quiet. -2 Quote

That was Johnstons worst game since joining. Didn't look up to speed at all. He wasnt alone. Complete off day. Previous games he looked good. Edited January 28 by Blue1870 1 Quote
