It's only been a problem since we've been regularly beating Rangers and Celtic on it. What happens if we keep doing that when we go back to grass? A vote to force more away allocation?

It's genuinely astonishing the amount of people who seem to think clubs could just buy rolls of any old shite from B&M and make a pitch out of it. A Venn diagram of those people and those who can't understand why a game in Dingwall might be postponed due to rain whilst a game in Aberdeen is not would almost certainly be a circle.

A minimum percentage which wouldn't be applicable at Ibrox or Celtic Park, of course.

itzdrk
To be honest I was against banning it, right up until I saw the reaction of bizarrely the Falkirk fans. Now I'm.all for it - I'm not sure what concern the Scottish Premiership is to them tbh.

How dare Killie have the audacity to embarass Rangers & Celtic, twice, at RP on a plastic pitch then have the absolute cheek to finish in 4th place and grab a Euro spot. There's yer answer.

Now that is a good idea. it is a complete eye sore these stadiums that are empty of any stand either behind a goal or along the side. St Mirren are a good model of how a small stadium can look. Enclosed, fit for purpose and also crucially grass.

Haven't you heard, zero help replacing them but the SPFL would be willing to cough up for a consultancy company to come in and advise on best practice from maintenance and upkeep on an individual basis for all member clubs

The pitch at Rugby Park was poor for years before it changed to artificial. The Moffat Stand blocks most of the sun in the winter months. So the grass doesn’t grow.

Grow light technology wasn't as advanced and cost a fortune when we last had a grass pitch. We'll just need to invest in them if it's gonna cause issues when it goes back to grass. Any club with an astro pitch winning promotion to the top league will just be relegated at the end of the first season. The cost of changing the pitch will use any money made in winning the league. Imagine if Airdrie won promotion next season with a 4th place finish like this year. Winnings of 200k will be only a fraction of the costs of changing a pitch.
