pozbaird
Shout out to anything like Fat Pop by Paul Weller, where a ‘special edition’ with bonus tracks sees the packaging manufactured slightly bigger than a normal CD case, meaning the feckin’ thing cannot fit into your collection, beside all the others. I’ll illustrate with a photo. If I can be arsed.  There you go. Weller CDs, Fat Pop too fat to fit.  Edited March 14 by pozbaird

BFTD
Something I discovered about video games in America, back when people bought physical media. Loads of shops like Best Buy would have an area of cheapo PC games ($10 or so) in CD jewel cases, some of which would be shareware versions (you'd get a couple of levels as a trial), only there would be nothing on the outside of the shrinkwrapped case that would say this. The first you'd know about it would be when you broke the seal and opened the case, where you'd find an order form on the inlay ("send $30 now for the full game!"). I can only assume this was legal in the States. Took one back to the store and was met with confusion when I explained why I wanted a refund; they didn't want to give one because I'd broken the seal, and genuinely didn't seem to see any problem. Imagine buying a music CD and finding a message saying, "hope you enjoy the first three tracks of our album, send us another tenner if you want to hear the rest of it"Â Â
