HibeeJibee
Tbf some leagues would playoff 4th to 7th... Northern Ireland do: also Austria + Denmark + Finland + Wales (who all granted split after 22 games). There are other European playoffs in Belgium, Czech Rep and Romania. However you'd have to play Scottish Cup Final earlier.
Dons_1988
I’d say 5th place vs the next best uefa coefficient in the league in a playoff would probably be the most fair way for it to be decided.

And if it goes to penalties, you're allowed to hit it twice.

HibeeJibee
As usual this ought to be caveated "except the Faroe Islands" IIRC - but still impressive nonetheless: Scotland has highest per capita crowds in Europe - BBC Sport Press Release: SPFL attendances | SPFL

Guessing that without the arse cheeks’ home attendances we’d be nowhere near that??
morrison
And if you take out everyone else's top two... Wouldn't get too worked up about it.

Sorry to douse your Scottish cringe but if we excluded our top 2 - yet nobody else's - we'd still be around about top, and ahead of most; plus if excluded everybody's top 2 we certainly would be.

No need to be an arse mate. If there’s one thing I don’t suffer from it’s “the Scottish cringe”. I just made an assumption that without one hugely disproportionate crowd every week, the numbers would skew heavily the other way. If that’s not the case then thanks for correcting me and I’m very pleased to hear it.
