I know them both and they are still about.

You can sit outside at the benches at the bowling club. There were some people doing that a few weeks ago.
RutherGlen
Thanks for the tips guys. Yeah, we all know you can Google for stuff like this but I always prefer to get advice from locals and actual football fans. Your absence of snidey remarks has been noted and I wish you guys all the best (post-Saturday!) for a strong finish to the season. Here's hoping for a well contested match and Clyde win on Saturday - got a feeling there's gonna be a few goals in this one for both teams!
Bring Back Paddy Flannery
The boolin club is the far superior option over any of the boozers in the town IMO. They show any football that is on and will no doubt have The Masters on one of the TVs as well. The Waverley is a decent enough pub but it’s a bit of a walk as it’s situated nearer to Levengrove Park. A few pints in the bowling club followed by a pint and a Richard Gough just before kick off in the stadium bar would be my recommendation.

The Rock is a cracking wee club and the Bully Wee fans will be made most welcome.
microdave
Aye, the bowling club is great. Friendly and welcoming staff who even open an hour earlier in the winter to accommodate Dumbarton fans. I'm at the point where I'm going to feel guilty about ditching them if the Stag's opens again.

I used to work with Todd Smith's Mrs. Still in touch with her on Facebook.
Replays
Look at this, three pages for this topic, a combined total of about four posts about the football, and about thirty-four posts about pubs. You absolutely love to see it!

Can anyone blame us for being more interested in the boozers when it comes to a pre-match thread? My prediction is a 2-3 win for Clyde. Martin Rennie with one and a Jordan Allan brace. I’d be more concerned about the reliability of the pitch and it being on! I’ll be holding off buying the stream until closer to KO.
shawfield shed boy
Bowling club 3-4.45pm it is "again" Great wee club and staff but just fancied a pint in the Stags More of a pub feeling with no thought of keeping a level singing voice
Fast_Action
Steering this back to football (and yes, the Bowling Club is great), that we will be without Liam Scullion will not help us. he has played well in his last few outings.
FifeSons
Will this actually go ahead? Looks like it’s raining all of today.

Was dry all of yesterday and it has only started raining here in the last five minutes. The Met Office forecast doesn’t look too bad tbh. It’s to be extremely windy around kick off time so that may cause some issues.
super-son
It will be a stodgy affair but I reckon it will almost certainly be on.
