judge macbrayne
From Clydebank Post Clydebank manager taking his time over summer transfers 2nd July CLYDEBANK FC By Aidan Macdonald Trainee reporter Gordon Moffat, right, is not rushing into any deals this summer. CLYDEBANK manager Gordon Moffat has revealed he will continue to take his time over new recruits for the club. The Bankies have added just two new faces to their squad so far this summer, with midfielder Dean Cairns and goalkeeper Andy Leishman both arriving from Darvel. Eight first-team players left the club at the end of last season as Moff looks to add competition in key areas ahead of the new campaign whilst shot stopper Kieran Hughes signed for Gartcairn. Despite being down in numbers, the Bankies boss is continuing to take a look at players on trial at the club but won’t be rushed into making any rash decisions, admitting that they need to have the right personality to fit in at Holm Park. Speaking to the Post, he said: “We’ve had a few conversations with different players but things haven’t really been the right fit for either us or the player so we’ve moved on which is just the way it goes. “They need to be the right player to fit the team but also the club and the environment we have tried to create. “We’ve got a trialist in from the Lowland League who is looking really good and really sharp but it’s early doors there. “We’re probably looking to add two or three outfield players, it’s not like we are needing eight or nine so we can take our time and make sure they are the right ones. There’s a couple of things bouncing around but nothing concrete.” Clydebank returned to the park on Saturday for their first-time with a comprehensive victory over the clubs development side. Moff admits he has learned from mistakes he felt he made in pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 campaign as he looks to ramp things up ahead of the big kick-off at the end of this month. He explained: “At this time of year there are always boys dropping in and out of training through holidays but the guys who have been here are looking really fit. “There’s not a lot of time between the season ending and the guys coming back, and even with that a lot of them keep themselves ticking over. They don’t really look like they have been away. “There was a couple of things I wasn’t too happy with going into last season so we’ve been looking at ways to address that this year.” Bankies pre-season campaign continues this weekend with a trip to Lowland League side Bo’ness United. Kick-off at Newton Park on Saturday is at 1:30pm

As soon as a club achieve bronze they must have a doctor at all home games. Even if there is a fan that who is a doctor there is the cost of the insurance to cover the doctor at around £500 a week. Its not £500 a week and most doctors at that level have indemnity through their GP practice or other means, the cover to be a club doctor is additional to that and not £500 a week, its not pennies but its not £500. eta Wife’s just checked her accounts it was circa £50 a week per doctor (2 of them were Morton Club doctors) at her practice for the last accounts she can see. Thanks for that. Looks expensive, so would there be any Grants available for some of it e.g. New pitch (if it doesn't meet the grade), up-graded floodlights, etc etc Edited July 5 by Dev .

As soon as you reach bronze you require them at all home games, away games you can get away with it if the home team have a doctor if not one still needs to be provided. Realistically bronze is not worth applying for until you are in with a chance at promotion to SPFL. By all means get the rest of the criteria ticked off however while teams are not even looking likely to win the WoS I don't see the merit in going for it. I would expect another none licensed to win this year with the money JB and SC are throwing about. One of the issues with getting and keeping a licence is cost and time spent. Clubs which don't go for it don't have to find the costs and time taken involved so it is less difficult for them to challenge for the WoS title etc.
Inanimate Carbon Rod
The GP/Doctor holds the indemnity not the club.

The is no practicing GP that would put their professional indemnity at risk due to the public not having a valid public indemnity to cover medical professionals. Ok Rhubarb, im sure you’ll be speaking from a much more informed position than me. I mean you’re not, but, im sure you are.
