I suppose stranger things have happened but I cannot see a scenario where Michael Ruth is playing League 2 football next season.

Yeah he will have a few options much like Jordan Allan will if he is deemed to be surplus, I just hope we have a goalscorer in the door soon rather than waiting.

I'd imagine Falkirk will want to use him for the league cup groups and it would only be a loan maybe towards end of August, I would love to see us after Ruth from Dumbarton don't know what contract situation is but if we have the budget to spend, McCall is watching his performances.

Blair Henderson, Dale Carrick and Tommy Goss

Henderson is an East Coast boy and I very much doubt we could tempt him, same applies to Goss/the Borders. I wouldn’t be keen on Carrick, he looked absolutely finished in L1 this season.

Surely absolutely no chance we get Ruth but as has been said, stranger things have happened. We don’t know much about the finances or the project that’s being sold and it may appeal to him.

Similar to Allan, perhaps going for a league title for decent money sounds better to him than dossing around the lower end of FT football and potentially not playing.

I know he does score goals, so I know how mental I sound for saying this, but I’d have very little interest in bringing Henderson in. I think he’s a lazy, big, sod who doesn’t offer an awful lot!

Serious efforts have been made in the past to get Blair Henderson.......as you say - an East coast boy....we have little chance of tempting him across.

What's happened to the Fernhill lad who went from Cambuslang to QP? Prolofic scorer for C'lang. Scott Williamson?

I think he is still at QP and had a loan at Cove last year.

Lots of goal scorers out there and I have  lots of confidence in IM & AM to bring in 1 or 2. Off the top of my head Blair Henderson, Dale Carrick and Tommy Goss are all out of contact this summer.

Dale Carrick isn’t, he’s 1 of 5 of our players contracted for next season.

Carrick was struggling with injury near the tail end of the season (I believe) and was playing beyond the pain barrier, as people say. He was quite clearing struggling for the last couple of months but I wouldn’t say he is finished, although he clearly needs rotated these days. Whatever it is, he’s gone on record to say these plastic pitches make it worse, which is why he left Airdrie originally.

I would honestly not wish Blair Henderson on anyone. This post sums up why…….

As has been said previous, the lad lives in Peebles and is an accountant down that way, so I doubt he would be signing for a west coast club, and I doubt he is short of a few pound.

Contracted for another year but I think there’s almost no chance he’ll be in Davidson’s plans for the upcoming season. A disappointing spell at Cove first half of the season and played almost no minutes when we recalled him. Think he needs a move to league 2 and Clyde would be a good choice imo

There’s a decent player there and held his own up top at points under Owen Coyle’s tenure but at this point in his career, he’s not championship quality which is no slight considering the jump from Cambuslang to Championship

Scott Banks set up a late winner for St. Pauli in a 2-1 win today to crown them Bundesliga 2 champions.

The wee man’s going to have some career.

Never fall in love with a loan player

Day of training with no contract extensions or new signings? 10th place beckons I'm afraid.

GTF the only reason McCall has stayed is because we have offered him loads of cash. If we sign the right players with our large(ish) budget we can win L2. In no particular order I see the top 4 being us, Stirling, Spartans, EF
