Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 vs Switzerland 🇨🇭

At present, at H/T now, despite not scoring a goal of our own yet, despite being pumped 5-1, despite our shite defending, and despite Ralston…. We are still in this tournament and could still become the first ever Scottish team to make it out of the group stages at a major competition.

That can’t possibly be right, but good golly, by jove, it is. Shurely shome mishtake Mish Munnypenny…

Will Joe Cunto Hart criticise Ralston? Place your bets…

Been quite a half.
Can say we are clearly playing much better than we did against Germany, good. We have looked dangerous on our odd foray forward and we absolutely love a jammy OG, delightful.
Midfield has been better too and we were doing okay defensively till Tony's epic brain fart that he will never hear the end of.
After that our arse collapsed a bit for 10 mins and we got lucky on a couple of occasions, marginal offside and a few decent saves by Gunn.
But we got back into it in the last 10 and the game settled down a bit, can see the Swiss took a breath too.
Of course a draw kind of suits both teams here. It would put the Swiss through and it keeps it in our hands.
With that in mind I'd hope for a bit less drama in the second half. This isn’t must win, it’s must not lose.

In the last 5 minutes Hendry and Gilmour have come over to the RB position to support - not even supporting, completely taking over with Ralston nowhere to be seen?

He needs hooked at half time as Switzerland ha have clocked it's a weak area

Add McGinn to the list of deputy RBs....

Can mind after 80 minutes in the Spain game at Hampden watching and saying (and posting on here) - "This game is won. There's no danger these boys are conceding". Now I'm shiting it every time Switzerland come forward. WTAF has went wrong with us?!

It’s infuriating going in 1-1 due to an absolute shite touch.

Exactly that.

On the positive side, the Switzers are making errors at the back too.

We play dinosaur football. You look at the likes of Georgia and Albania playing quick, counter attacking football and then you compare it to this aimless, hoofball and ask what we’re doing as a footballing nation.

I have a theory that Ralston is doubly bad at this level because

- Scotland are often on the back foot

- Ralston as back up for Celtic doesn't play in matches when they're on the back foot - ie only plays against poorer teams so isn't used to defending.

He was a winger at first wasn't he?

Well, aye, but for who?

McCrorie or Forrest.

Or a change of shape and Tierney in there or even fucking Taylor.

Ryan Jack even...

Any c**t.

To be fair to Ralston he keeps being played the ball when he has zero options and a Swiss player right up his arse.

Similar to Friday, it’s some press every time he gets it.

Can’t think why.

I'd go as far as saying that if Ralston isn't hooked at HT, then it's a stackable offence for Clarke.

Clear for absolutely everyone.

It feels like others in the team are now compensating for him, whilst he's been chucked out of the way.

We can't have that - he needs hooked. Put Tierney or even Robertson at RB if required, it's better than managing a player that is totally out his depth.

Germany did the same. Whilst our shape against Germany was wrong, little was talked about how they shut down our full backs when we had the ball. When they turned upfield a German player (or 2) were on them forcing a loss of possession. Glaringly obvious how to stop us.
