The Master
Our first meeting since the “Hibs are falling apart” incident at Pittodrie in last seasons final pre-split game. Can the Hi-Dees alliance survive? (Presumably it’s not unreasonable to think Hibs fans agreed with that particular song last season?)
Zing.
I actually want Rocky Bushiri to start instead of Marvin Ekpiteta which is a worrying state of affairs. Our goalkeeper is also shit scared of the ball so that’ll be good when the ginger prince is chasing in on him. 2-2 draw.
Liam899
Let’s just settle for a draw with both teams getting 3 points? Sure that happened last season? Always a good game when Edinburgh and Dundee’s biggest clubs go head to head. Should be on Sky Sports Main Event and feature game on match of the day IMO.
CC 33
I see the away allocation is sold out. I presume Hibs will be opening up another block for sale this week?
Ludo*1
@RossBFaeDundeementioned when I was slating David Gray as a manager that my comment might not age well due to our terrible record against Hibs particularly at Easter Road. I knew our record wasn't great, but when I went looking I didn't realise how absolutely atrocious it actually is. We've not beaten Hibs away since Steven Milne netted us a 90th minute winner in the Bonetti era. Indeed, our dead rubber at Dens with the Charlie Adam thunderbolt in 2022 is the only time we've beaten them in the last 17 games. The win before that was another absolutely miserable season, it was the Club 12 season and a Kyle Benedictus thunderbolt sealed the win. Our record at Easter Road is genuinely horrendous. Out of the 125 meetings listed on Dee Archive, we've came out on top 22 times and hold a -102 goal difference!
johnnydun
I think this will be a good gauge of where we really are as a team currently.
Pens_Dark
I'm confident going in to this one - it's probably misplaced. We are absolutely flying though, scoring freely. Still conceding which isn't great but I think our defence will improve game by game, with our full backs getting better. From the outside looking in, Hibs are in a fragile place at the moment. A game like this could really start to dictate the direction in which their season goes. We should be taking advantage of the uncertainty. I'm going to go 2-1 Dundee. McCowan and Murray.

The ginger prince surely wouldn’t do such a thing? We are needing Celtic to sell O’Riley and get McCowan out of the team for the weekend. If Sylla, Cameron and McCowan play like they did in the first half v Hearts it could be a long afternoon for Newell and Campbell.
