NCAA Football 2024

It's almost kick off time as "Week Zero" happens this Saturday and Sunday with Florida State at Georgia Tech kicking things off.

Big changes in Conference alignment with the dissolution of the Pac-12 among other big moves.

And big changes to the whole system with the debut of a 12 team playoff, which could be absolutely massive.

Who's everyone's pick to win it all? There's a few contenders for me, but I think it will be Georgia's year (again).

Feels weird tbh, the Harbaugh years were a a crazy twisting road of gradual improvement until last season's triumph, and Michigan lifting the title felt like the end to a great TV series for me. Difference being that unlike a TV series, real sports doesn't have a real 'finale'. Naturally expect a regression this year given the number of key players moving on and honestly am pretty chill about it all, which is a nice attitude to have after years of "this HAS to be the year", but so long as we stay competitive in the division. Expect Ohio State to step it up a notch after being our bitches for the last few years, honestly will accept anyone else as champions.

The Longhorns are sort of my team through work, and i am itching to see if Archie Manning can live up to the hype (needs to get a shot in front of Ewers) So i would like to see them win it all

I am really looking forward to seeing Alabama post Sabin. they lost a few players

An uneasy start for Michigan in title defense mode, a game Fresno State showed up and didn't let us get away with really sloppy offense for the majority of the game, it took until the 4th quarter for some comfortable separation to finally take place. Two consecutive INTs overturned near the end, the 2nd one being one of the worst 'roughing the passer' calls I've ever seen, just abysmal. The 3rd one counted though, and the Pick Six was sweet justice, ball don't lie! A good ending but shaky stuff, no doubt.

Basically a new offense and it shows, a lot of gelling left to do. Fair to say I'm not looking forward to Texas rolling up to the Big House next week on College GameDay. I think our 29-game unbeaten regular season run is very much in jeopardy from a title-challenging Longhorns team. Would not have worried near as much with last year's champions as I am now, but a win over Texas and a chance to throw the horns down would be as enjoyable as almost any of last season's victories.

Was raging when I checked the schedule for Sky and saw they were showing NIU @ Notre Dame in the 8pm slot. Not raging anymore. What a game. Why the Irish are ranked so high every season I have no idea. Leonard looked like the only MAC QB on the field and Freeman is so far out his depth it’s unreal.

On paper one of the biggest upsets I can remember watching live. NIU paid $1.4 million to come in and ruin their season. You can’t hate college football.

See Colorado got pumped again and Sanders Jr is throwing everybody under the bus, him and his da are 2 complete arseholes.

Seeing Colorado get pumped is one of the biggest joys in life since "Coach Prime" took over.

Well, I enjoyed the first half of USC @ Michigan. The second half was misery, but thank god for Will Johnson (please don't be injured badly) and Kalel Mullings.

First remotely impressive result for Michigan this season though every attempt was made to hand the game to the Trojans (that double fumble was laughable), but our QB situation is past being even comically awful. Almost just want to throw Jadyn Davis in right now if Tuttle still isn't fit. Neither Warren or Orji inspire me with much confidence at all. Thank heavens we're a run-first offense, otherwise we'd be going 3-9 this year.

Thank christ I was working rather than watching Michigan vs Minnesota, once again a decent first half that'll be forgotten amid a clusterf**k of a second half that was a few inches of a Golden Gopher's body over the kickoff line away from being a disastrous loss akin to Washington's defeat to Rutgers.

If this team is anywhere near the playoffs, I'll be damned.
