DeeTillEhDeh Posted September 14 Posted September 14 An utterly insipid performance. Ingram should not be starting in a back 4. Too many elsewhere had poor games - midfield in particular looked lost with Sylla being closed down - Cameron and Tiffoney were poor. Very few pass marks - McGhee and Adewumi were the best of a bad bunch. 2 Quote
johnnydun Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Really piss poor performance from us today. Just the simple passing was shite, nevermind the final ball. Koumetio is far too slow at releasing the ball, boy still thinks he is playing in England with loads of time. 2 Quote
RossBFaeDundee Posted September 14 Posted September 14 No complaints (well, other than for that melt of a referee) about the result. Frustrating to lose the unbeaten start and not to score, and we really didn't look close to scoring. Pretty much the only upside for us today was that Adewumi looks pretty decent. With Clark hopefully fully involved next week, maybe we should consider going back to a back 3/5 as the back 4 experiment has really been falling apart since the Hibs game. Think I've decided that Larkeche is not good enough, Ingram played shite too but I give him more leeway I guess. A lot for Doc to ponder, thankfully we don't have to go to the Hunderdome next week or something 0 Quote
kdyteejay Posted September 14 Posted September 14 How did super Simon get on today. Asking for a friend. 3 Quote

forkboy Posted September 14 Posted September 14 What a relief that is. Still not totally convinced by Chilvers yet, but it is still early days. Meanwhile Łopata absolutely a great piece of business so far. 2 Quote

Staggie_93 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 (edited) Very good result and some great performances all round. Big Wright and Lopata were solid at the back, they’re looking like a couple of very good additions. Edited September 14 by Staggie_93 1 Quote

I'm eating my previous words now. If the team can consistently play like that, as with Aberdeen game (despite the loss) and the United first half performance, I'm feeling positive now I was sure Simon Murray would have turned up to score a couple. County defense solid as. Nisbet, Hale, White run all excellent today. Brilliant! 0 Quote
Rosscubed Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Lopata and Wright are a very promising combo in defence. Personally I'd have given wright MotM due to the goal, and I hope we'll see more of those from corners. Leak actually slotted in fine for Harmon in the absence of Smith. Laidlaw absolutely solid on every occasion he was called on. Nisbet, Hale and White all looked nice and lively. Campbell has a long throw in him which I'd not noticed before. Chilvers worked really hard, he was giving it 100%, but the outball/product wasn't coming from him in the way that I think it can/should. James Brown was really solid for me, he's a significant step up on Efete. Randall solid in the middle as well, no silly mistakes and decent positioning. Actually thought there were some decent Dundee players, but Murray was very anonymous - was surprised that in one race for a loose ball both Wright and Lopata seemed to have him for pace. The ref was very pedantic on throw in creeping, and seemed to be pretty whistle happy all round. 5 Quote

DeeTillEhDeh Posted September 14 Posted September 14 This felt like a role reversal from our usual play today. Usually we like to let teams come on to us then counter quickly - instead County were quite happy to let us have the ball and counter quickly themselves. Lost count of the number of hoofs into the box by us which was just meat and drink for their centre-halfs. There seemed to be no plan B until Adewumi came on and at least went at their players. Up till then we seemed content to push it up the wings then just turn back, before eventually passing back to Koumetio/Portales who would just hoof it up. 0 Quote
