Rosscubed Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I should add the through ball by Sylla for Murrays offside goal was lovely. He looked one way and played that pass without looking (as far as I could tell). Very nice. 1 Quote

Worst one was the booking for Larkeche for 'simulation' when he collided with the defender in mid air. (wasn't a penalty either). Overall no complaints about the result. Thank you. 0 Quote

Steve Carrella Posted September 14 Posted September 14 That's a performance that wasn't possible a few weeks ago. Cowie was getting a few jibes but he has fully addressed the central defence conundrum (shambles) in short measure. Lopata is going to be vital for the remainder of the season and a series of defensive shut outs can only emboldened the rest of the team. Credit to all concerned, points wise a very decent start and some emergent talents are encouraging. 1 Quote

sting Posted September 14 Posted September 14 5 hours ago, sting said: Im feeling good about the game today. The international break will have benefited the new players especially the latest additions except Nisbet but that is the nature of the beast when you have international players but the main thing is he came back uninjured. Lopata looked a very good acquisition against Aberdeen and am confident along with Wright will go a long way to sorting our defensive frailties. In Hale we have a striker that is top equal this season for strikes on target along with Kyogo and Dessers, he just needs to start converting them. Simon Murray will be a worry but a lot of our team have played against plenty of times in training and will know more than most what he is about. All in all I think a 2-0 win for County I think I got most of that about right. The defence is a lot more solid and there is a bit of pace in there now. Leak did very well today when he had to replace Harmon. The whole team played well and my only criticism is twice today Hale had peeled back from his defender and found a lot of space in the box where he should have been found by Randall, instead of Randall having a dig when the angle was against him 1 Quote

Meanwhile Łopata absolutely a great piece of business so far. I think there’s still more to come from him. I thought his set pieces and deliveries into the box were excellent. 1 Quote
