JS_FFC
With less than 48 hours until kickoff no broadcaster has the rights to Scotland v Poland. Over the past 25 years or so I’ve watched Scotland on (from memory): BBC, STV, Channel 5, Sky Sports, Viaplay/Premier and even the Daily Record website. When was the last time a Scotland men’s international match was not legally available to watch in Scotland by any means?

We could all be thinking that Antonio Rudiger won us the final right now. Anyway, someone posted that Polish cooncil telly is broadcasting the game, and it'll be available via streaming for those with a VPN. Hopefully they've got plenty of bandwidth available.

Unless a freak exception may have to go back to Vogts or Brown eras or earlier for competitive tie? Sure will have been some friendlies more recently e.g. were all home friendlies shown? These overseas? ... Far East tour in 2002 v South Korea, South Africa, Hong Kong League XI? ... did BBC show both Kirin Cup games in 2006 or only the 'decider'? ... loss v Japan in Yokohama in 2009? these would all have been early in the morning ... thrashing v USA in Jacksonville in 2012 under Levein? it was very late at night and despite 5-1 humbling I remember it barely registered ... post-season trip to Peru in 2016? recall BBC did show Mexico game Edited September 3 by HibeeJibee

Bully Wee Villa
I wasn't sure, could only find BBC Two England listings.

Not sure about the Far East tour, feel like I have a memory of watching the South Korea game but could be making that up. EDIT - I probably am, it was a Thursday at 12 noon so I would have been at school - unless I caught part of it at lunchtime. BFTD
Last minute deal for the Poland/Portugal games to be shown on ITV4/ITVX, apparently. Norn Iron's games included too. https://news.stv.tv/sport/scotlands-nations-league-games-to-be-shown-live-on-free-to-air-tv I remember someone saying that it was a bit shite that they'd be on ITV rather than STV, but anyone who's streamed games on the ITV and STV players lately will know that this is MASSIVELY preferrable!

This footage from Hong Kong League XI game appears to be from the Sky Sports Channel but its time clock, goal scorer caption, multiple replays and commentators phrases suggest it was live: Were all home friendlies shown? e.g. v Trinidad & Tobago at ER on post-season Saturday in 2004; v Sweden with Tommy Burns in charge; v USA at Hampden under Walter Smith (also Saturday afternoon IIRC)? I've no recollection of these but unless just highlights remember others H and A like Estonia... Wales and Hungary spankings... Spain abandoned... Romania crippling Kennedy... etc.

I don't think Romania was.
invergowrie arab
I'm sure there is one since this but I remember listening to friendly loss v USA 96 on the radio in the house because no tv options. That or my sister was watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch
Fuctifano
1 hour ago, HibeeJibee said: USA at Hampden under Walter Smith (also Saturday afternoon IIRC)? That game definitely was on TV. Thistle were 3-0 down at home to Gretna with 10 minutes to go and a significant chunk of the crowd had left early including most of my mates who went to the pub to watch the Scotland game which was a 4pm kick off. In the (just) pre smartphone era and with presumably the TV stuck on half time analysis from Hampden rather than SSN they took some convincing the game at Firhill had ended 3-3 when the rest of us walked in. The Trinidad game you mention at Easter Road was on a Sunday but pretty sure it was on TV although I was at the game.

HibeeJibee
Trinidad & Tobago friendly was evidently live on Sky Sports 3: and Sweden live on Sky Sports 1: but there are only the most fragmentary clips of Hungary and Romania evidently from highlights.

The Spain game was definitely live as I was a wee boy at the time and had been allowed to stay up later than usual because of the Scotland game (A Friday night iirc). I was a seething mess when the game was called off early.
