Burnside91
I thought I would have a go at starting a section on Horse Racing in particular National hunt Racing (The Jumps) with the new season really kicking off as we head into the month of October. I know we have a betting section on the forum but this can be used for sharing news stories, help with sharing info on attending or organising race meets, any fancies or let downs, any surprising runs and horses to keep an eye on as the season goes on and we get to Cheltenham and the Grand national next Spring. May take off or the topic may take a fall (sorry, pun intended) Some recent stories making headlines- Shark Hanlon’s 6 month ban – resulting in horses leaving is yard Flooring porter leading from the front to win the Kerry National at Listowel Changes to Next years Cheltenham which the jockey club say will lead to more competitive racing.
LesterPiggott83 Posted Saturday at 07:31 Share Posted Saturday at 07:31 This is a great idea, really enjoyed that initial post Burnside. As you can probably guess by my username, I’m more of a flat racing guy, but I do like to dabble on the jumps. I’ve had a fair bit of success over the years backing Captain Guinness (I’m a fan of the black stuff!!!). I’ve had mixed success backing Goshen, an undeniably talented horse but very inconsistent. Anyway I hope this topic gets some traction and we can have some good discussion over the upcoming jumps season. ps. Did you hear the joke about Becher’s Brook? I could tell you it, but you’d never get over it
