Cardle is Magic Posted Monday at 10:39 Share Posted Monday at 10:39 Two truly awful football sides do battle this weekend. A defeat for the Pars should signal the end of James McPake's reign but no one does inertia quite like Dunfermline Athletic.

Ended Falkirk's long unbeaten run but get comfortably beaten by the two worst sides in the division so far. An odd league.

Wacky Posted Monday at 12:02 Share Posted Monday at 12:02 It’s really difficult to feel inspired by our performances so far. I simply can’t see where we can get a win unless it’s against ten men. You know it’s bad when @The red diamondhas given up posting comments about his team. (or maybe I’ve just missed them?) Anyhoo, I think we’ll huff and guff our way to a nil nil draw, and worse is both sides will be happy with that.
Rocky Rooster AFC Posted Monday at 13:17 Share Posted Monday at 13:17 (edited) Although losing the game late on we actually looked to have improved a bit on Saturday and we hopefully will have a few players back for this game as well. So going for a narrow home win and another fife teams manager getting his Jotters after a game against Airdrie. Stellaboz Posted Monday at 17:47 Share Posted Monday at 17:47 Easy home win, let's be honest here. We're utterly dung and Airdrie have our number from last season. I'd be slightly more confident if Tobi was back in goals.
The red diamond Posted Tuesday at 07:23 Share Posted Tuesday at 07:23 Hopefully show the same fight and performance from Saturday. This really is a massive game for both teams. Predicting a very close home win to get the diamond train running again
Dislocated Boy Posted Tuesday at 08:16 Share Posted Tuesday at 08:16 Huge game, for both sides. Can see it being a nervous affair, or maybe that's just me. I'll be there, more in hope than in expectation.

I don't think the Potato Park will be the place for free flowing attacking gusto on Saturday tbh, and whoever shows the most grit, fight and determination will prove victorious. either that or whoever doesn't make a balls up of it more. 1-1.
CallumPar Posted Tuesday at 08:57 Share Posted Tuesday at 08:57 We’re going to play for 0-0, let’s be honest. McPake will be all about trying to avoid defeat, rather than trying to win. If Mehmet’s in goals, we’ll concede at least 2. Expect McPake to make some stupid changes in the team as well. Probably go back to his back 5, not because it makes sense but because he’s a numpty.

We can’t play attacking fitbaw. I hope Tobi is back in goal, that will help us get a 0-0

Cardle is Magic Posted Tuesday at 09:49 Author Share Posted Tuesday at 09:49 The juxtaposition of seeing the 03/04 Cup Final side and our current squad in quick succession has made our current predicament even more painful. Safe to say that not one member of this team will ever be invited back for a nostalgia event.
da_no_1 Posted Tuesday at 09:57 Share Posted Tuesday at 09:57 Was thinking about going to this but only if Tobi is back in goal, so if the manager could announce his line up on Saturday morning that would be smashing. Mehmet not solely to blame for either goal on Saturday but we just play shite when he plays. Really wish that weren't the case but it is.
Heaton Posted Tuesday at 10:35 Share Posted Tuesday at 10:35 (edited) We play shit when he plays because he does the opposite of instilling confidence for the defenders. They have to sit deeper, and second guess wtf he is going to do behind them. Tobi plays like a sweeper keeper higher up so the defence and team naturally move further up. I worry he is sometimes too far out his box but I'd prefer him in goal any day of the week. Edited Tuesday at 11:25 by Heaton

It’s not just the mistakes he makes, it’s how much more nervous the defence look when he’s in goals. That being said, I’ll be happy if I’m proved wrong. But even happier if Tobi’s fit and I don’t need to be proved wrong!
