StAndrew7 Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Been waiting for this one a while; bought it over the weekend and have it installed, just need to find the time to get into it. Seems like it's stuck to its roots beautifully; reviews are saying is creepy, hard as nails and... full of bugs. Will post more when I get a chance to dive in, probably next week given it's the mother in law's 70th this weekend. 0 Quote
itzdrk Posted November 25 Posted November 25 As someone that loves fallout the game really works for me but I'm finding it so hard. Never really done survival stuff before so just getting used to sneaking about with two bullets and a knife. Think it looks really good as well.  I've played it on my X on my good telly and on my S on my less good TV. Looks and runs great on both.  I've gone for Ukrainian with subs after starting in English which I would recommend. Hope they patch in an English translation subtitle when you hover over the Ukrainian graffiti as it feels like it would be helpful.  98415868-93b6-4ec4-adc2-2fff499df731 (1).mp4 1 Quote

Definitely going to switch the voice acting over to Ukrainian now you've suggested it, the prologue voice acting was enough to make me want to stop. I'm playing it on my gaming laptop plugged into my 4K screen and it looks the absolute shizzle. Obviously there's bugs etc. that need ironed out but it's incredible they managed to get something released given everything that's gone on during the development! The first one was hard as nails and I'm enjoying just how difficult this is from the get go; the first monster encounter was... insane. I love Fallout etc. too but this is a step up, which is always welcome. Once you get into the rhythm of the play style and stuff it does get easier; but it takes a while. Well worth getting the original and its expansions if you can; they're pretty cheap on Steam (£2.49 right now I think) if you've got a semi-decent laptop/PC for gaming you should be fine; they're 15+ years old. I've not managed to get any more time on it this week with work, the wean and other stuff but hoping to at some point on Sunday. My first "proper" encounter with some bandits after the prologue was mad. Like, you forget you've got 2 or 3 hits and you're down bleeding out. As I said above it does get easier the further in you get because you're properly kitted out for stuff but even then you have to be incredibly careful; the wrong encounter with an anomaly or the wrong monster and you're done for. 0 Quote
