welldaft Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Expect Hibs to come out of the blocks quick and try and get the 1st goal. If that comes to pass it could be a long afternoon. The longer we can frustrate them or even score 1st then we may get a positive result. I assume they will need to pick one of the two gaffe prone keepers. If Ketts has not told them to get cross after cross or long throw in and dead balls on top of the keeper then I would be surprised. I fear the worst but will go for a score draw which probably suits nobody. 0 Quote
Wilbur Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Based on this season's form and current league positions, plus Motherwell being at home, I find it strange that 'the bookies' have Hibs as favourites for this one. Presumably I am missing something significant. Typically Motherwell are 9/5 and Hibs are around 7/5. They say that 'the bookies' are rarely wrong, so watch this space. 0 Quote

Bookies don't predict who will win, their odds are based on them making money. If we lose the first goal I don't see us coming back from it. I don't see there being much between the teams - Hibs should probably have been in front at half time in the game at Easter Road but we were able to nick a couple of goals in the second half. Hopefully this is one of the games that we edge. 0 Quote
Lyle Lanley Posted November 29 Posted November 29 (edited) If we play Smith , Motherwell will score at least 2. Edited November 29 by Lyle Lanley 0 Quote

joewarkfanclub Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Both teams to score is the stick on bet for most Motherwell games. But this one is a certainty..... 0 Quote
Leith Green Posted November 30 Posted November 30 I will be in the pub today from 3pm and trying to ignore notifications of the goals flying past Bursik / Smith / Stevie Wonder in Hibs goal................ 1 Quote
Archie McSquackle Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Is that Graeme Smith? You're not that badly off are you? 0 Quote

Handsome_Devil Posted November 30 Posted November 30 We don't do clean sheets any more and if Hibs simply give us the ball and defend they'll have a largely simple afternoon. If they cut the mistakes they'll win but that's obviously a big if. 0 Quote
Busta Nut Posted November 30 Posted November 30 I think it's underestimated how bad we are. We're 50/50 on how most games go but we're so bad at times. 0 Quote

We are pretty shit and so boring. Hibs have something we don’t like in pace and trickery out wide. Think being away for them will work a treat and can see them hitting hurting us wide. We need to really go at them early and try and take control of the game and create chances…. So that’s us f**ked. Fully expect a Kettlewell special, we will be 1 or 2 down with 15 mins to go. Then we throw everything at them, get one back and lose 2-1 or if Hibs crumble we could maybe sneak a draw. Probably have to make an early sub (Halliday off) as his starting 11 isn’t working (David won’t start so won’t be him off). Absolutely no chance we win 3-0. We will be lucky to have 3 shots at goal ffs. 0 Quote
ropy Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Well I guess we have reduced the number of defenders in the team. Does that make us a more attacking team? 0 Quote
