Use of "social distance" as a verb.

"I'm going to social distance"

"Is it ok to come in? I'll social distance"

Just f**k off.

Also, signs mentioning limitaions of number based on social distancing, particularly in toilets. Not going in there to socialise m9.

Also..... "We had a socially distanced barbecue/meal/playdate yesterday" can f**k off too. Stop fucking specifying like everyone is some fucking govt spy. Just let me assume that whatever you did, you followed the rules and stop saying that shit.

You appear a little more anxious / frazzled than normal, wee man.

Deep breaths.............😎

People who cancel last minute. Hosting a BBQ this afternoon and one person says she has heat stroke despite it being the coolest day for two weeks, another asked for it to be today but now is too busy with holiday packing. Fucking do it yesterday then.

This is why I hate hosting shit like this, you spend a fair bit of time making sure it's nice for people to come over and a fair bit of cash on booze and other stuff to eat.

I'm thinking of canceling the whole thing, sending the missus away and spend the rest of the day drinking all the beer I bought myself, ordering a huge takeaway, masterbating and playing the PS4.

Well played min , your double bluff has worked a treat

Mrs stellaboz has fallen into your trap and tipped  off the guests that you were planning on giving them all rancid beef.

An evening of solo pleasure awaits

I meant to make it dai to rhyme with eye not day. Properly it's "hyoon-day" but we can't exactly cast stones when most people here say "high-yoon-dai".

Like James Bond I'll "dai" another "day"

McKay, a normal surname you'd think, except when you cross the pond and hear utter cretins pronounce it Mi-Kay.

I make a point of correcting them. I remember someone once said to me "Over here, we pronounce it M'Kay."(That's not true actually, most people pronounce it correcetly.) I just said, "Over here, you're wrong."

The Hyundai thing is the company's fault. Before expanding into new markets, they look at the easiest way for the natives to pronounce the company's name, and tailor their advertising accordingly. So the Americans get 'hon-day', we get 'hi-oon-die', and (IIRC) neither are correct. They don't give a f**k, as they're just trying to fit in.

WIWAL there was a company that everybody called Nessels. Then all of a sudden they insisted they were called Ness-lay.

Different corporate strategy, I guess. The Hyundai thing is true; I saw one of their boardroom bigwigs being interviewed about it years ago.

I knew the original Korean pronunciation was different, but couldn't remember it. Just looked it up online, and apparently it's HYUN-day. So I guess the Americans are actually a bit closer to the real thing than we are.

Burn it all then salt the ground.

Good old highly toxic diesel used to work too, not so sure about the new eco stuff though. I remember dear old, green fingered Dad dousing the garden in diesel he'd stolen from his work. You'd be safer eating veg from Chernobyl than anything that came out of that patch of ground.

Happier, simpler times.
