Sweet Pete
Have literally never heard anyone say this ever It's a fairly common west coast expression; for example - "the Louden Tavern is a Rangers shop".
broon-loon
Definitely petty, however changed car recently (used) and the radio needed a code. Dealer informs me they need to remove radio to get serial No. Now there are marks on the dash where the panel has been removed.
broon-loon
I think the term you're looking for here, Broon, is scum. Sub-human scum. Still waiting on the radio code as well......

Sweet Pete
Neither have I. Aye, but you're only about 10, so it's understandable that there's loads you haven't experienced.

Monster
I'm quite disappointed this evening. A guy on my facebook that I actually thought was quite decent and intelligent has just posted a link from The Daily Mail about how Britain is ashamed of Christmas and sending Christmas cards is now banned because of Muslims. then he had a massive rant about how "they" were taking away our rights. I've argued, but he's standing by his 'It's political correctness gone mad!' blinkered intransigence. I accept the world is full of puddle drinking morons, but it still saddens when someone who I thought was alright outs themselves as one.
tinkerbelle
So I take it he's off your Christmas card list then?

I saw that today too, shared by a girl who proclaimed that we should "Tear down the mosques, burn them to the ground! Apologies to any Muslims this offends but you'd feel the same". So, aye, she's gone.

Believe it or not, this was the exact phrase I heard this morning that drove me to post on here.
monkeyblair
Getting up at 4am for a flight to London for a 90 minute meeting then having to hang about for a late afternoon flight back. Especially when you are Skinto McGinto
Sergeant Wilson
You can also have places with a 'Tap shoap' and a 'Boattom shoap' Calderbank used to have a tap, middle and boatum shoap. Spoilt for choice they were...except the regulars of each wouldn't set foot in the others.

I expect they all enjoyed friendly rivalry, perhaps playing games on the village green?
