Hard to see Scotland getting a result with 7 regulars missing, is Berti going

to give David marshall a shot in goal? Romania 3 Scotland 0

NICE TO SEE KENNEDY GET A STARTING PLACE, HE HAS PLAYED WELL FOR

CELTIC, MAYBE CELTIC'S YOUTH TEAM IS STARTING TO PAY OFF,ALTHOUGH

A STRIKER IS NEEDED TO REPLACE HENRIK, AND MAYBE SHAUN MALONEY,

DEPENDING ON HOW HE RECOVERS FROM HIS INJURIES.

There's no denying that Marshall's a good talent, but we do have other Scottish goalkeepers, ones who are proven at this level. Marshall should continue to cut his teeth with the under 21s until he has at *least* 20 full competitive league games under his belt.

p.s. 3-0 Romania. This will be the first Scotland game I've ever been to - I'm not holding out much hope!

What are the pies at Hampden like? I eschewed the chance to get one when I went to see QP vs. Morton.

I don't know why, but I just feel that we won't get beat tomorrow. I mean, if we get humped...again...will Berti go? Hmm...who knows. But I don't want to get into that. What I'm trying to say is thsa he'll get a good result tomorrow and the pressure will ease off...until September...

If Berti goes, it will be the biggest travesty ever. If the fans and media hound him out, they can look forward to whatever numptie's rushed in as a replacement.

NO manager should be judged on his record in friendlies. These are made for practise, experimentation and team selection. Even if the result WAS deadly important, he's got something like 7 of his regular players out. There is no call for him to leave after this game, no matter what the result.

I sincerely hope you're right, cowdenfan.

nach0king- agreed no manager should be judged on friendlies results, but if the

side continues to struggle, how much confidence will the players, supporters,SFA,

have in their manager? Do you wait until half way through world cup qualifying

to replace him if the results don't go scotland's way. Italy will be their toughest

test, and Norway are nopushover's but not unbeatable either. if, and this is a

big if, the Scots can field a full strengh squad, the should be able to take

maximum points from the rest of the group, leaving the matches against

Norway, scotland's most important, can'tt really see them getting anything

from Italy.

radford- MON is going nowhere..he will be staying at Celtic park. His roll over

contract continues for as long as he wants it. Now miller ,he won't be missed

Scotland team confirmed as:

Gallacher

Alexander

Dailly

Pressley

Kennedy

Rae

Cameron

G Caldwell

McCann

Miller

Thompson

Oh dear, oh dear... :(:(:(

What on earth is Gary Caldwell playing in midfield for? I would have played him at right-back instead of Graham Alexander, shifted Dailly into midfield and Kennedy into central defence where he's more comfortable. And why Stephen Crainey isn't in the team is beyond me.

The Scottish side finallyplayed as a unit, but yet went down to a defeat. They

gave the best they could considering they were without 7 regulars, If the

Scots could field a healthy 11 a spot in Germany might not be out of reach> ;)
