bob_mcshug
i am getting a message on my computer which says i have a memory leak. My system has been running really slow and i think this is why. Anyone know how to fix this?? or of any software that might stop the leak? cheers
bairnPunter
A little more info would help, Is it a PC/Linux/Unix? Is it a specific application that is leaking? Does an application crash? Raise a bug against the manufacturer if so. Memory leaks mostly will cause apps to crash/core dump, so your system wouldn't necessarily slow down. An application that GROWS in memory though would slow your computer. Check your task list (ctrl-alt-del), and you can sort your apps by Memory. An example of an app that I find uses a lot of memory growth is the Opera browser. Good browser tho.
