Swampy
Interesting game so far. I'm listening to it via RealPlayer since no TV station here is showing it. One of the highlights so far was UEFA's commentator declaring that Figo was "beginning to open those talented legs" Greece certainly seem to be the better team. Their goal was well-earned, and Portugal have been forced into a couple of niggling fouls, which is uncharacteristic of them, really. I'm surprised to say it, but I'm sure Greece can hold on to win if this play style continues.
Neilly
Portugal are stuggling big time, Greece well deserve their lead and to be honest it could have been more, Charisteas had a chance in about 20 seconds but he completely missed the ball Portugal can't be this bad in the second half, bring on Deco... Guest Aye See Tee
I think we might see Ronaldo and Deco some time soon in the second half if Portugal don't sharpen up.
Savage Henry
Thoughts: 1. How much does Christiano Ronaldo flatter to deceive? 2. How bad is the Greek keeper. 3. Good game, actually. 4. That big Greek no. 9 looks a player.
joozy
Bloody Pauleta. You're letting my dream-team down. Dellas, who's on the subs bench of my fantasy team, was superb.
David W
It was an excellent game, Greece deserved the win. Portugal perked up a bit when they brought fake Ronaldo on, but then he gave away the penalty, with a ridiculous tackle Portugal scored in the last minute but there was no chance of them getting back level. I can see them losing to Russia...
Swampy
Not too sure about that. Group A is the group of underachievers. Spain, Portugal and Russia are bottlers of Morton proportions I'm surprised, though, that Greece managed a win, but now they have that game out of the way there's nothing to stop them going through to round two, with Spain on their heels. Guest Bhoys67
Could be a quick exit for Portugal, they were dreadful vs the Greeks this afternoon. Never had any hope of winning this one. lets hope the greeks can pull another surprise and advance to the second round.
Musketeer Gripweed
As predicted, Portugal looks far too lightwight up front. They seem to persist on small forwards with no fight about them. Figo needs a rocket up his arse as well Too many good players in that squad to be so poor today. But surely they have a better centre half that Couto these days. I was well impressed with Greece though. They looked a tight outfit.
mythicalcreature
Wgat I thought was really funny was Ian Wright's post match discussions in which he came up with stuff which only laughable. He tried to make out that every cross that Ronaldo put in was magnificent other than the fact the CH got in the way of them all! What a diddy, even Alan Hansen knew he was talking crap!
The Minertaur
I wasn't that surprised to hear the score as Greece proved in the qualifying that they are a strong outfit. Good first goal.

Neilly
Greece have a solid base to there team and they will prove hard to break down. I missed the Spain game but I reckon Greece will draw with them and beat Russia to top the draw. What odds were you getting on a Greece win yesterday? ICTChris
Greece were superb - their defence was solid and made some excellent tackles, the two boys up front (9 and 15) were excellent, used their physicality brilliantly. Portugal were absolutely terrible - what was up with their crossing? also, why didn't they EVER put someone on the back post, they would've scored half a dozen? Fuctifano
the two boys up front (9 and 15) I thought they looked older than that Portugal have got too many midfielders and not enough strikers. I think they'll beat Russia but they might stil have to take 3 points off Spain to make it, which I don't think they'll do.
