David W
Spain have started with perennial diddy Exteberria on the right hand side. Baraja has produced two superb passes already. Come on Spain
David W
Feck, Exteberria missed a sitter. The man is absolutely dreadful. Get Joaquin on there Oh, and Casillas has just made a good stop Can Spain play any better than they are just now?
Swampy
One would hope so. I don't have a full view of the game (just audio commentary) but they don't sound too convincing. Greece sounded better against what is probably a better side than the Rooskeys.
Swampy
As of half time, William Hill are giving 7.00 odds on a Russian win. Looks good to me for 5 quid or so.
Guest Aye See Tee
Spain started well, having most of the possesion, but Russia have come back into it and may sneak a goal in the second half. Would like to see Joaquin get a chance. I think there might be a few Russians sent of as well.

Savage Henry
Spain have started with perennial diddy Exteberria on the right hand side. Shurely shum mishtake? The guy's a class act. The two Spanish wide men were the best players on the park by a mile. Along with Puyols and Aldonin before he went off.
StewartyMac
One of the Spanish players was a dead ringer for Boaby from Still Game

Along with Puyols and Aldonin before he went off. Always flatters to deceive and I don't see why they were talking him up so much. For an international, some of his first touches were very poor and he only put one decent cross in all game. Vicente was much better.
Guest Bhoys67
Spain deserved to win this poor game, Russia will not advance they were very poor in attack and will have a hard time with Greece & Portugal.
RiG
David - I thought both wide men Vicente and Exteberria were really good althought I am judging this mainly from the second half after I got back from work. Normally Exteberria plays up front at Bilbao so maybe a switch for Joaquin may beon the cards. A much better wide player than Exteberria overall I feel. Was upset to see Baraja get hauled off when I felt Albeda should have made way. I am hoping that we see more of Torres in the next couple of games. Musketeer Gripweed
I have never rated Exteberria (good use of copy and paste there ) and thought he has always been a waste of a jersey. One thing I will question now after the first two games, is the new ball some way affecting the standard of the crossing as the standard in both games has been terrible.
