Guest Strantastic
I say a resounding NO! These, and every other, major finals are completely spoiled by them, imo. As many of us all too aware, they turn the whole thing almost into a celebration of Englishness. So I ask myself, why do we not have Scottish commentators for Scottish viewers. Then I think of Archie McPherson and Rob McLean. Dear God, what a choice. So do we really need them and the pundits gibbering pish, or could we not just have the tv pictures with the wee graphics telling us what's happening during games? Does every game have to mention England a hundred times, even when they're not playing? So, are the commentators and pundits necessary evils who provide talking points for fans or should they GTF? edited to add poll
Guest Bhoys67
We in Canada get the bbc or itv feed of the games and the announcers are a bit England biased, but you expect that, be when they make their team out to be world beaters there is something wrong. In a few of the games we have lost the commentary, but it dosen't ruin the game a bit, it gives you the feeling like you are there, maybe no announcers is the way to go. David W
It's a tough job, they do it pretty well. Apart from Clive Tyldsley.

Buttocks Brown
I've been really impressed with Jim Beglin on ITV. Very good indeed. Also, for anyone who missed the African Nations, Efan Ekoku was a guest. He was excellent, actually knew what he was talking about and a very intelligent guy too.
