ICTChris
Long way to go yet!! From 'watching' on Sky Sports minute-by-minute sounds like the Swiss had the better of it for the first 20-odd minutes, but England's class seems to have told - Gerrard to Beckham to Owen to Rooney is pretty formidable. Still, come on Hakan Yakin - you fvcked LIverpool now fvck England!
Buttocks Brown
Once again England go ahead against the run of play. They'll do well to get 3 points.
Savage Henry
England are winning despite playing in first gear. If the Swiss can't do any better than that, then the second half is going to be very, very dull.

miketheheadlesschicken
The referee has been abysmal. Free kicks are being given anytime someone falls over. I'm surprised at how England are playing. They've been the most defensive team in the tournament.

Raving On
2-0Lucky, lucky barstards. Well at least they've used up all their luck in one game. Can't believe they're 3-0 despite not looking any better than 10 man Switzerland.

StewartyMac
Now I want Croatia to beat France tonight, so a draw isn't good enough for England in their next game
StewartyMac
"The scoreline will make the rest of Europe sit up and notice". What? 3-0 against the 10 men of Switzerland? Aye, and one of them an own goal by the keeper. Up until that goal, I can;t remember England having a decent chance at goal. You canny argue with results though. Raving On
That's cause they didn't! Mind you the Swiss hardly created all that much. England can only have had about 5 shots in the whole tournament so far. Mike is right, they are the most boring team in it and have been the worst to watch so far. Guest MooresLaw
Just like watching Brazil. Nice to hear the jingoistic comments from Tyldesley tonight. Quality performance by what is undoubtedly the strongest team left in the competition now. Probably had about 90% of the play and completely controlled the match. Assured defending, slick midfield passing, lightening quick up front, overall a thoroughly impressive professional display. How the other nations must be quaking in their boots, but the best thing about tonight is the sound of the bookies counting their hundreds of thousands of pounds from you wee dafties that backed Switzerland. ENGLAND!!!

StewartyMac
Can't see why you're delighted with that. Only reason England won was terrible refereeing, and and unbelievable slice of luck off the keeper. But then historically, they've always had the breaks.
