dave258
Someone else will have to pick teams as I've no idea who all these nicknames are. Nicknames? I've no idea who half the actual players he's listed are.
ShakehandsTom - DFC
Surely us chaps have been grafting in the Glasgow Area 5's for long enough for us to know the nicknames of who's playing?! The nicknames are used every week! I'd expect such nonsense from David W, but that fact that Staggy (PDJ) and Dave (S. Whittaker) have mentioned it as such, gives for much sadness and disappointment.
xbl
I love that moment! Someone reels off a list of gibberish, and eventually, someone quietly mutters that they have no idea who any of them are...it happens nearly every week. I love this thread!

calum_gers
The temperature out there will sort the men from the boys anyway, its Baltic. GA 5's is on. While St Johnstone Aberdeen is off. No shock.
staggy4life
Anyone turning up in gloves or snoods will be aggressively told to turn back.
ShakehandsTom - DFC
Anyone turning up in gloves or snoods will be aggressively told to turn back. What?! Gloves are part of what helps me to fool people into thinking I might have a bit of ability. That and the fact that I sometimes wear brightly coloured boots.
calum_gers
So, what do you use after the first 15 seconds?
ShakehandsTom - DFC
Anyone turning up in gloves or snoods will be aggressively told to turn back. If I was to bet on someone turning up clad in a snood or similar garment, it would be Experienced Brian or L. Leiva (David W).
staggy4life
I'll let you pansies off this once as I'll be wearing a questionable winter jumper.
ShakehandsTom - DFC
So, what do you use after the first 15 seconds? Hey hey, we've got a comedian! That's what I mean. It's to lull people into a false sense of security that I have ability on the football pitch. After that initial flurry with the ball, it's clear for all to see that my best attribute is either strength or effort, and I have the turning circle of a double-decker bus.
ShakehandsTom - DFC
I'll let you pansies off this once as I'll be wearing a questionable winter jumper. And what, please tell, is a 'questionable winter jumper'?
calum_gers
And what, please tell, is a 'questionable winter jumper'? Eddie the Eagle?
dave258
I've never really got the need for gloves etc when playing football. Surely you run about enough that they aren't necessary?
ShakehandsTom - DFC
Eddie the Eagle? I'd have expected better from you, Jigsaw.
