Highlandmagyar
Seemingly this side was only decided on a couple of days ago. They thought Bresnan wouldve started.

wellboy1991
Silly shot from Warner, looked in a right good nick aswell. Was looking forward to him having a go at Swann. Rogers looks in a grind mode and Watson isn't exactly confident. This could be a bit of a slog!! The pitch too me looks perfect for Clarke to score big today when he gets in. Should suit him well.

Aye, you'd have to think Clarke willing be lapping it up. Especially with two spinners and debutant military medium third seamer.

berwick-the-unbeatable
Ended up watching this through the night as a result of a fucked sleeping pattern, uni work in for today and being interested anyway. That was some fucking take from Swann there. I can still see Australia piling on more runs though. I'd say about 400-450 as it's a bit of a road. Good time to get a wicket though, and it should be interesting no matter what. A lot depends on if the batsmen decide to turn up this time round though. Could be argued that there are plenty in that line-up that are due a big innings.
CambCelt
Aussies 273-5 at the close of day one. IMO we need to knock them over for 350-360 max. Could be tricky if the Aussies dig in tomorrow.
dorlomin
Even day. At 400 England will still feel in charge and its a long way to 400. Clarke and Haddin can get them there though and Englands batting line up is feeling a bit creaky these days. We will probably not know which way this is going till well into the England innings.

Could be a costly shell from Carberry at the end. Think England would have sneaked the day if he'd held on. Can't see England making 400, but then there a few of them due a score.
WullieBroonIsGod
Aye, the inability of England's batsman to put up big runs means we have no idea how the game sits yet, just look at the first test! Still, Clarke and Haddin have the ability to put quite a few on the board, Mitch likes a hit and Sid is solid enough. Nicely poised!
AberdeenBud
Decent effort from the Bowlers, 400 would be no better than par on this track, will be interesting to see how the England batsmen get on. I've got zero confidence in the English bats at the moment, think they'd struggle to make 400 in my back garden with Geoffrey's mum bowing. If England can stretch the game hopefully the spinners will come into play. Edited December 5, 2013 by AberdeenBud
CambCelt
We could well regret those dropped 'catches'. ... and Clarke & Haddin are capable of giving us a headache, as WullieBIG says.
dorlomin
Can't see England making 400, but then there a few of them due a score. Adelaide is the kind of place where if you just drop anchor, pick your balls to score of and accumulate you can end up with a very big score. Someone from Clarke, Cook, Pietersen, Bell is likely to get something the other side of 170. As there are more English than Australians on that list, I reckon England have a decent shout of a 400+.
