Poet of the Macabre
It went through a period of 6 or 7 episodes when it was incredible comedy TV. I really enjoy it. I would enjoy a Penny-Sheldon relationship, don't know why.
Smurph
The Big Bang Theory is ace. One of the funniest programmes on TV just now, imo. I am Raj Koothrappali, only not Indian. Edited February 11, 2011 by Smurph
Cowden til i die
I would enjoy a Penny-Sheldon relationship, don't know why. I agree. It's what I watch it to see, surely it will happen? I find this watchable and sometimes quite funny without being hilarious. How I Met Your Mother I just can't watch, i find it awful and repetitive.
Loki
Sheldon is a truly intriguing character. I think he is the funniest character, and surely is an autistic savant. His social skills and literal taking of human communication as well as his high systemisation of every part of his life would definitely put him on the autistic spectrum. I agree a relationship with Penny would be awesome TV. It would be just so awkward it would be great comedy.
Cityfan
The coitus between Penny and Sheldon would definitely make interesting viewing. As funny as Penny and Sheldon would be, it's too unrealistic (unless Sheldon was conducting some sort of experiment). I'd much rather see a hungover Penny wake up next to Wolowitz! The fall out would be brilliant.
Swarley
Funniest programme on tv at the moment for me, it's taken over from HIMYM. This'll be one of my favourite scenes.

Parscelona
I love the Big Bang Theory. Got to love Sheldon, espcially when he comes out with his Bazinga material. Slightly disappointed that they've altered my E4 Thursday night ritual by not having How I Met Your Mother straight after BBT anymore.

Sherrif John Bunnell
The Big Bang Theory is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, but it pales in comparison to the superior U.S. comedies on the go right now such as Modern Family, Parks and Rec, The Office etc. It is amazing how BBT relies on it's laugh track.
South Lanarkshire Jag
Does Raj really shag Penny or is it "explained" in Season 6
Cityfan
Does Raj really shag Penny or is it "explained" in Season 6 No he didn't They explain it in the first episode Watched the first two episodes of the new season last night, they were brilliant.
Uncle Psychosis
I've got to be honest, I really don't see the fuss about BBT. My mrs watches it and I can genuinely say that its only made me laugh a handful of times. Maybe its because I know a whole load of really geeky people in real life, so the pretend geekiness just doesn't amuse me?
LAGer
No he didn't They explain it in the first episode Watched the first two episodes of the new season last night, they were brilliant. As I suspected....Does anyone know when the current series is to be shown on E4? I think this would be a really difficult programme to write, trying to factor in all of the geeky character's social hang ups when trying to construct a meaningful story. Sheldon is just brilliant to watch and the episodes are never as good if he doesn't feature heavily. I hated Amy at first but her character started to grow on me a bit towards the end, then she was kind of phased out of the final few episodes.

The American sitcom has been on the slide for many years now, The Big Bang Theory serves as a reminder of how good the shows were that the two leads were once involved in (Roseanne and 8 Simple Rules).
ScottR96
Sorry to bump this thread people but when was the last time a new episode was aired in the UK? The new episodes were always on a Thursday on E4 but it seems to be repeats now. The BBT Facebook page would suggest the series is still ongoing in the USA.
