The Naitch
Wright is definitely keeping his cool up there.
djchapsticks
Wright is like a seasoned veteran who has been there 100 times before. So calm and collected under what must be intense pressure. I didn't realise he'd chucked it and was playing pub leagues and county opens until 2006.
Neilly
Wright on D16 is unreal. This is a stroll in the park he's far to good for Whitlock.
Davis Love III
It makes you wonder just how much potential success Wright missed out on during those lapsed years. But then again, perhaps this is simply his time. And at the moment, I think he will do it.
Davis Love III
Whitlock got one of the breaks back as well when winning that set. Will we get Mardle on commentary duty for the MVG Lewis match, Part is so much better? It's interesting you say that. Having a read through Twitter at people's analysis of Part's commentary, and it is varied to say the least... Seems to be a 50% split between the "Who is this Yank? He's shit" tweets and "John Part is an excellent addition".
Neilly
Where will he go in the rankings if he wins/loses the final roughly?
Davis Love III
Where will he go in the rankings if he wins/loses the final roughly? If he wins the World Championship, he will be 3rd. If he loses it, he'll be 7th.
djchapsticks
Utterly punishing Whitlock whenever he makes a mistake.
The Naitch
He's not missing that D16 tonight. Wright has got balls of steel up there.
Neilly
If he wins the World Championship, he will be 3rd. If he loses it, he'll be 7th. Can see him staying in the top 4 or 5 for a long time. He will be a massive threat in every major now this is no flash in the pan he can get even better once he uses these darts more.
The Naitch
Ha, brilliant from Wright on that D4 to break throw.

Davis Love III
He will be a massive threat in every major now this is no flash in the pan he can get even better once he uses these darts more. That's a good point. Easy to forget that he switched his darts after the first round. Peter Wright is certainly here to stay.
ditots
Wright deserves to win. Whitlock just hasn't turned up.

The Naitch
Absolutely phenomenal stuff from Peter Wright tonight. He went at Whitlock from the off and never let it slip.

Davis Love III
A performance of sheer brilliance from Peter Wright. About as accomplished and assured an effort as you'll ever see from a player in this stage of a World Championship. On that form, it will require something very special to beat him. Mind you, these two lads up next are used to providing a bit of magic...
