flyingscot
I'm in two minds. The RFU needs to grow a set and get the set-up and club game sorted. Perhaps an outsider like Jones can shake things up a bit more? Be (slightly) immune to politics? His comments about central control in Ireland/Scotland / SH is interesting.
Savage Henry
Rumoured to be the highest paid coach in world rugby, did a terrific job with Japan. He certainly did. One wonders how far reaching his remit is. Because he basically oversaw a complete reformation in Japanese rugby, albeit with help from the rather ludicrous residency rules.

Northsea80
No sign of Dunbar since that game against Connacht. Strong bench for tomorrow also. Should be a good contest, looking forward to it. Sold out also!

GAD
No sign of Dunbar since that game against Connacht. Was wondering about that myself. Is he injured again? Possibly they are trying to manage his time to try and get him fully ready for the 6n.
Northsea80
He's on the injured list on the website where they list today's squad. Sternum injury it says on there.
diamond_for_life
Northampton haven't had the best of starts this season so hopefully Glasgow can take advantage and get their European campaign off to flier
Mark Connolly
2 horror mistakes by Hogg so far, and some pretty tough refereeing calls.
diamond_for_life
Glasgow got destroyed in the scrum it was a pretty comfortable night for Northampton
ICTChris
Huddersfield Giants forward Brett Ferres has been suspended by his club for being caught shagging his team mate Craig Huby's wife. Apparenlty Ferres' wife was suspicious and came home early to catch them on camera. Ferres' Giants teammates have refused to play with him again. Ferres was best man at Huby's wedding a few months ago. Jerry, Jerry, Jerry.
The_Kincardine
Eddie Jones for England, then. Based on Japan actually winning a game? I feel a little sorry for England. Rugby is so popular here but they keep fucking it up at international level.
ajwffc
Turns out it was a heart attack that he died from. The All Backs team Dr thinks it was a blood clot in his lung that killed him.
peasy23
The All Backs team Dr thinks it was a blood clot in his lung that killed him. A good read, if perhaps a little insensitive in the timing. http://m.independent.ie/sport/rugby/neil-francis-on-jonah-lomu-a-life-lost-needlessly-34222682.html

He was diagnosed with his condition on 1996 the same year as the Blues were formed so even if they were given him the stuff they must of been pumping him and the rest of the team with high dosages to cause that much damages so soon.

flyingscot
Pretty uninspiring from Glasgow tonight. Scraped past Treviso in a poor game. Finn Russell is bang out of form, along with many of the WC team. Tiredness or whatever it isn't good. The tempo changed when Weir came on along with Ali Price and Strauss. Such a shame Murchie is injured, need him badly to give Hogg a rest.
Northsea80
Connacht keeping up their great start to the season with a win away at Munster! They could be in with a shout of a play off spot if they keep it up. Not as affected by the World Cup as the others around them and that'll benefit them again when the six nations rolls around. Be interesting to see if they can keep this run going.
