Big Brian Alainu'uese has his suspension reduced, which is probably correct. Eligible for Leicester.

Glasgow pick pretty much their first XV for Munster game. Only first teamers missing are injuries/suspensions. Presume Pyrgos is injured (apparently a knee injury)?

Why do they write the numbers in a funny order?

It's the split between forwards n backs. Looks a really strong line up. In an ideal world a really strong ref to deal with the inevitable munster cheating at scrums n mauls, Glasgow score 4 tries and beat munster by at least 8 points.

Unless I am missing something it is a completely Scottish 23! (OK Strauss is a stretch but...)

Don't think Murchie is?? No sure bout D'Arcy rae. In fairness to strauss he's no less eligible that swinson or Pyrgos. Either way though very encouraging.

Murchie is capped for Scotland. Rae has played Scotland U18s and U20s.

Maybe Scottish Qualified 23 is better given Rugby these days!

Yip. 20 of the 23 are full Scottish caps, Rae and Fagerson Jnr have been capped at age grade level and Grigg is a 7s cap (and trained with Scotland squad during Autumn internationals).

Good stuff then. Who did Murchie play against ( genuinely don't remember him playing). It's even better that's it's give or take a few injuries almost Glasgows strongest squad.

2013 against South Africa and Italy and as a replacement against SA again in 2014.

That injury list is guts of a pretty decent side on its own!

Wait we've capped hart??? How many scrum halves were injured?? I'd have had iain milne start at 9 ahead of him [emoji2]

He got 66 min of game time with one start ( came off after 47min) in our tour of America and South Africa in 2014. Laidlaw started the first two games with Hart getting 5min at the end of the second game(at fly half after a Canadian player knockout Ruaridh Jackson while trying trying to fend him off). He started the 3rd game with Pyrgos coming on as sub and a 14min sub appearance in the last game.

Ah....that was the tour where everyone got capped except me n we fielded our weakest team of the tour v saffers. I'd blocked it out [emoji23]
