Mark Connolly
Glasgow rucking is far too high meaning the first Cardiff player is surviving the clearout- need to get much lower

peasy23
Exactly. If that had been at the other end we wouldn't even have thought about the possibility of it being a forward pass.
Jaggy Snake
I've seen that video before but the Cardiff player was barely moving when he threw that pass. He had nowhere near enough momentum to in part that much forward movement into the ball.

We'd have wanted Owens lynched if it had been disallowed at the other end
Mark Connolly
This could be interesting - replay looks like first contact might be shoulder on head...
Salvo Montalbano
Great explanation.

Mark Connolly
I think he might give a yellow here - it's reckless but I'm not convinced it was deliberate shoulder to head ETA: I'm wrong, fair play Nige Edited December 1, 2017 by Mark Connolly

Mark Connolly
Just now, ajwffc said: and it is a red card I think it's a little harsh, but it's understandable. It's nowhere near as bad as last week's, but as Nigel said, it's the risk he's taken.
Salvo Montalbano
Think that was quite harsh, but for all the stick Nigel Owens gets he's the best ref there is because of the way he explains decisions and helps players through the games.
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
Quality referee. Top man.
peasy23
Has anyone managed to catch the team for Cardiff? Can't mind it off the top of my head but they have a few absentees too with the internationals, plus the injured Sam Warburton. However, they'll prove to be tricky opposition as always. Nick Williams starts at 8. He's an absolute war machine who can cause damage. He needs to be watched. And they've just taken him off to bring on a replacement prop after the red card. Pleasing.
Jaggy Snake
It's in line with the laws but it does seem very harsh.

GAD
I think that red was very harsh. Guy shouldn't have done it, but I'm not sure it was that malicious. Certainly nothing like the one on Saturday.
ddfg
The speed of Horne and Hastings might be the difference in the second half, hope so cos this has been turgid
