A feisty, enjoyable contest between two decent sides. Pather 2-0 up early in the second half but conceded a penalty and we're reduced to ten with 15 minutes to go which set up a frantic ending. Enjoyable game, shame Bullwood didn't have a go much earlier. Pather played some decent stuff and posed greater threat, numbers 7 & 11 especially. After domination, the GK made some good saves late on, to stop the 'Bulls equalising. Niggly stuff with the crowd joining in, tremendous. Possible treble now on for FC Pather.
Crow
Newcastle United 0-1 Liverpool @ St James Park. Despite 5 changes the visitors make pretty light work of what had looked like a difficult fixture. A 19th minute Naby Keita strike the only goal with a number of further chances not taken. Crowd 52,281. Edited May 2, 2022 by Crow -

Crow
Gateshead 3-1 Southport @ Gateshead International Stadium , game 2 on Saturday. 3 stops on the Metro from Monument to see Gateshead secure 3 points that put them 5 points clear at the top of National League North with only 2 games left. Crowd 2006 (55 away).
Jute
Getting less random as will be 4th visit but have tickets for Sunderland v Sheffield Wednesday on Friday. First attempt at getting new lumo service at 2308 which if it works means can avoid overnight stays for midweek games in Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough. Going to try and get over to Edinburgh City v Dumbarton tonight as well.

That late Lumo looks like it could be really handy from London and the North East Jute.
Christophe
Runcorn Linnets 1-2 Marine Northern Premier League Play-Off Final 4th played 5th in Division 1 West as the two outsiders from the playoffs faced off for a spot in the league above on saturday. Linnets opened the scoring in the first few minutes but after that the chances were all Marine's. They were rewarded with a 71st minute equaliser and a 79th minute winner and Runcorn couldn't get back up for it. Got in nice and early due to the expected crowd and accidentally found myself in with the jubilant Marine fans as the rest of the crowd filed in. Brilliant scenes, lost my car keys in the limbs following the winner, which I didn't realise until I'd got back to the motor, luckily they were still on the terrace when I returned, though a bit trampled underfoot.
Christophe
I'd said on a previous post that each time I see the Linnets their crowd increases and it's followed to its natural conclusion here. A sell-out at 1,600 beating their previous best of 1,078. Great to see

Jute
Edinburgh City 4-1 Dumbarton. Great result for City which places them in fantastic position to make play off final. Entertaining game with City scoring some good goals. Some of Dumbarton’s finishing was woeful and they were of more danger to passing aircraft than they were to the City goal. Craig fae the Vale
Drumchapel Amateurs 4-1 Wishaw HSFP. A really enjoyable game between two good sides. Drum scoring twice late on when Wishaw had gone all out to find the equaliser. Also have to say what a fantastic setup they have at Glenhead Park. Putting some of the ex juniors to shame with their facilities.
Marten
Kinnoull 3-2 Heriot-Watt UniversityAttendance: 55A very entertaining game for a neutral HWU took the lead early on, but the hosts scored 2 later in the first half so they were 2-1 up at half time. Early in the second half, HWU scored the equaliser. Kinnoull scored the winner midway through the second half. Both sides had a number of chances after that, but Kinnoull held on and got the win.

atfccfc
After two years and three months I've finally managed to escape the UK for a proper holiday. I've just arrived into Denmark this weekend for a week of football here and in Sweden. So lots of Random matches from me to enjoy. Tonight I started off in the Danish 3rd tier for a match between Boldklubben 93 (B93) V Hellerup IK (HIK) at the Osterbro Stadion, which is adjacent to the Parkenstadion. A crowd of 609 witnessed an absolutely brilliant match which to and throwed one way then the next and finished 3-3. I paid 78KR (£7.70) Beer and hotdog was 75KR. Programme only available as a PDF download.
Jute
Sunderland 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday. Get the feeling Sunderland are going to regret not converting more of the opportunities they had. Cannot see Wednesday being as poor in the second leg. Over 44,000 there.

atfccfc
Double header today in two different countries. in my Scandinavian trip. First up was HB Køge V Esbjerg FB in the Danish 2nd tier, bottom 6. Esbjerg really had to win to give themselves any chance of staying up. And it all started so well as they took a 12 minute lead through a deft flick at the near post. But Køge who are the best of the worst thought back immediately as the centre half bulleted a header in from a corner, before a penalty just before half time from Køge gave them the lead which they never relinquished. Koge are managed by ex Liverpool player Daniel Agger and have ex Rangers player Jin Flanagan in their squad (though he wasn't playing today. Finished 2-1 with 775 attending. Second match was over the other side of the øresund Bridge in Malmö. Who were playing Mjallby AIF in the Allsvenskan. I would have made this game 50 minutes before kick off. But the Øresund train was at the wrong platform and left hundreds of people (including a good number of Malmö supporters!) having to make the next train. Made the match with seconds to spare. THis was a quality match again. Mjallby have been a form side at the start of the season and this was 2nd V 3rd. Mjallby started the better but after about 20 minutes Malmö settled into their game and dominated from then on. It was no surprise when they took the lead after 35 minutes from a downward header at a corner and then scored the second two minutes later. The atmosphere was electronic from both sets of fans (approx 500/600 away) in the crowd of 19812. It finished 2-0 Malmö.
