Just send this as an e-mail to your line manager. You should get some kind of response by return.

    HTH.

Better to submit it as an anonymous comment during an inter department Teams meeting.

The dinner thing is a strange one. "dinner time", "school dinner", "dinner lady" all commonly used terms in school in the west of Scotland to refer to lunch. Despite that I would NEVER use lunch and dinner interchangeably, dinner means your evening meal and only your evening meal

    Breakfast
    Lunch
    Dinner/tea

Last night APIA Leichhardt (2) met Hazelbrook (5)  in the Fourth Preliminary Round of the Australia Cup. Hazelbrook went ahead after 4 mins then APIA scored 7 before half time and another 12 in the second half to win 19-1.

    Ouch.

Sydney derby on Saturday. I've not been to one yet and I'd like to go but I'm just concerned with the amount of shit (usually police or steward related) that goes on at these games.

I think Australia has a means tested state pension scheme, but I'm too lazy to check the details of how exactly it's means tested (total estate value, private pension pot value, whatever).

I've been here 16 years and I still don't really know. I leave all the money stuff to the Wife.

My understanding is that there's a state pension which is a pittance and is means tested on income and assets. So the richer you are when you retire the less you'll get.

Your employer pays money into a Super fund (Superannuation). That's a percentage of your salary and is compulsory. It's currently 11% and rises each year. So the higher your salary, the more you'll get. You can also voluntarily contribute more of your salary to your Super fund.

You can also contribute to your own private retirement fund.

@Eednud does that sound about right?

A few trips ago I put a can/tin of juice into the fridge in a rec area where I'd never had anything stolen for the few years I'd been working there.

My colleague saw me doing this and started nipping my head saying "don't put it there, it'll get nicked, put in the office fridge downstairs!" about ten million times.  Just to shut him up, I moved it into the office fridge for the first time.  Less than an hour later I went to get what should have been a refreshing cold drink. Gone.

    Trust no one.

    100% your colleague took it.

    I wish 😄

Was just easier to ask that way than a far more complex, more realistic option that has no promise of happening years down the line.  I'll be lucky to get a box of milky bars off my parents at present.

    Cheers Fullerene.

    The 40% inheritance tax:

Does the £325k exemption threshold apply to each estate transfer, or is it a personal limit for everything over the years?

I.e. Hypothetically speaking for simplicity, if both a parent* and an unmarried partner** left me 325k in their will, would my inheritance tax bill be £0, or £130k (40% of one of those 325k transfers)?

    Milky bars are on Hedgecutter.

I'm not trying to be funny (for once), I promise you, but do you think that maybe Bartley suffers from a narcissistic personality disorder, a la Donald Trump? He never seems to accept responsibility for his failings, it is always somebody else's fault etc. etc.

Possibly. You can absolutely guarantee that once he does leave he'll be on the tv that afternoon telling everyone how none of it was his fault and he was forced out the club by internet trolls and players who'd rather play FIFA on their PS5s.

Just had a look on our official site.
As is well documented Bartley is contracted to May 2025.
Someone understandably commented yesterday that they can’t wait for the end of the season but a fair number of our underachieving players I.e. Brydon,  Church, Hutchinson, Doherty, Cochrane and McKechnie are also contracted to May 2025.

You'd hope a decent manager, hell even a semi competent manager, would be able to get something out of these players. Our current Walter Mitty hasn't a clue.

Daly Cherry-Evans played a record breaking 310th game for Manly yesterday, one more than previous record holder Cliff Lyons. To celebrate he scored the Sea Eagles’ third try, converted all five tries plus a penalty. Sea Eagles defeated reigning premiers the Panthers 32-18.

Was a terrific performance and win.

Roosters and Rabbits continue to be utter shite. You look at the players they have and have to w wonder why?
